Plot[]
Part One: Amy arranges lunch at the bistro with Steve and Tracy. Adam crashes at the shop flat after trying to get Daniel to go clubbing with him. Toyah worries about where Abi spent the night and tries to get in touch with her. Amy tells Jacob he's going with her to the bistro later as her boyfriend so that her parents can see what a kind, gentle human he is. Maria goes canvassing ahead of next week's election. Michael is upset that Glory's birthday party didn't go ahead. Adam asks Sarah if he can take Harry on a pre-arranged cinema trip but, clocking his hung-over state, she refuses, reminding him that he's to have nothing to do with either of them. Steve and Tracy are horrified when Amy arrives at the bistro flanked by Jacob.
Part Two: Tracy refuses to have lunch with a drug dealer. Amy says he's no more a drug dealer than Simon. Abi returns to the street after staying at a B&B. Maria is photographed planting a tree at Victoria Gardens. She's giving a speech when her rival Bernard Barnes shows up with James and Ashley Hardcastle. The press abandon Maria to interview the footballers. Abi presses Imran to tell Toyah the truth as she's going to find out anyway. Tracy is appalled when Steve is friendly towards Jacob. He privately assures her that he's using reverse psychology and wants nothing more than for Amy and Jacob to split up. Leanne is horrified to spot them all with Jacob, pointing out he almost destroyed her family. Amy asserts her independence by giving Jacob a long, passionate kiss. Lydia picks up the last of her things from the factory and tells Sarah that if she can't forgive her, she won't see her again. Adam rows with Lydia after receiving a court summons for threatening behaviour and criminal damage. The Baileys hold a belated birthday party for Glory as a surprise for Michael. Simon picks a fight with Jacob in the street. When he shoves Jacob, Jacob punches him in the face, witnessed by Amy and Steve.
Part Three: Amy goes after Jacob. He tells her he hit Simon as he made a derogatory comment about her. Daniel thinks Lydia may be weakening as she didn't argue back when Adam was having a go at her. Michael is thrilled with Glory's party. Imran calls at the garage and reminds Kevin that no matter what the circumstances, Abi's entitled to maternity pay. Kevin promises to sort it, though Tyrone's disapproving and questions how Abi is paying for Imran. Amy tells Steve and Tracy that Simon called her a slag. They insist Simon would never say that about her. Phill is bemused to learn that Kirk once ran for Mayor of Weatherfield as Buzzer the Bee. Carla admits to Sarah that she has a hard time believing that Adam threatened Lydia physically as it's not like him. Amy confronts Simon about what he said to Jacob. He exposes his guilt when he denies insulting her before she's had a chance to accuse him.
Part Four: Simon says he provoked Jacob in order to show that he hasn't changed. Convinced that Jacob is bad news, Steve tells Amy that she must choose between Jacob and her family. Maria considers throwing in the towel, thinking Bernard is going to win with his cheap tactics. Phill texts her saying he's found something interesting. Toyah tells Abi she's paid the deposit on a flat by the precinct for her. With Imran delivering the maternity news, she's moved by their kindness. Tracy finds a letter from Amy at No.1 saying she's moved in with Jacob. Adam asks Sarah to question Lydia again. Sarah reports that she's just been to the flat but Lydia and Finn had already left with their suitcases. Amy tells Steve and Tracy that she chose Jacob as he was the only one who stuck up for her. Tracy blames Steve for their predicament. He's confident they'll get their daughter back once the novelty wears off.
