Plot[]
Fred Chapman threatens Emily about the demo. Annie refuses to go on the demo when Lucille asks her. Edith and Ken bicker over the upbringing of Peter and Susan when Ken thinks they're being spoiled. There's little response for the demo as only Emily, Hilda and Lucille turn up. Albert says he'll meet them at the Town Hall as he's getting the bus there and not marching. Ray does an estimate for making some cupboards in the flat for Irma. The two flirt. Billy and Stan consider joining the demo but Len bribes them to stay in the Rovers with drinks. Lucille tells Len that if a peaceful demo won't work she'll organise a violent one but she later loses her nerve. When Annie complains about no one working in the pub, Lucille has an idea. Edith enthusiastically tells Ken that Alfred Tatlock has suggested they sell up in Glasgow and move back to Weatherfield. Maggie and Betty join the other three women as they stage a sit-in at the building site to block the entrance. Fred Chapman calls a digger forward which knocks Lucille over and pours its contents over her feet.
