Plot[]

Part One: A hung-over Abi is woken by two police officers banging on the front door. Daniel and Daisy plan where to go on holiday. Sam looks forward to his chess game with Roy, despite feeling guilty for deceiving Nick. Michael announces that he’s given up the search for Grace. Ed and Aggie share a look of relief. The officers leave No.13. Seeing them, Debbie pours abuse on Abi who tells her they were there for a witness statement about the stolen car. A passing Toyah tells Debbie that she doesn't know what Abi's going through. Wanting to control matters himself, Gary offers to go with Laura to her first meeting with her PI. A concerned Toyah tries to contact Abi to make sure she's okay. She asks Imran to take Elsie to nursery as she has someone she needs to check on. Abi scores more drugs from her contact Lee. Toyah sees Chloe Pearson trying to get a response from No.13. Nicky finds Daniel at school and reveals she got fed up with Lytham, decided to return to Weatherfield and has applied for a teaching assistant role. Daniel's delighted and agrees to meet for a drink. Toyah lets herself into No.13 by the back door, sees Abi with the drugs and finds out that she's giving up the baby. She takes the drugs from her and lets Chloe in. She tells her that the hospital needs to see her as there's a problem with the baby's health.

Part Two: Leanne makes out that Sam’s got an after school club. Nick's pleased to think he’s mingling with kids his own age. Dr Ralston tells a shocked Abi that the baby has a bowel condition called necrotising enterocolitis and he needs to undergo a risky operation. Ed thinks of having a puppet show for Glory's birthday and Ronnie offers to hire the bistro for the event. Overhearing, Mary invites herself along. In the cafe, Leanne watches on as Roy plays chess with Sam. Roy beats the boy who manages to hide his upset but wants to know where he went wrong. A guilt-ridden Abi asks Toyah to bin her drugs. Toyah offers to go with her to view the baby. Laura and Gary meet Ron Fordham, an ex-policeman who knew of Rick's reputation. Talking to him, Laura realises that Gary was the last person who saw him alive. In the Rovers, Daniel introduces Nicky to Daisy. Nicky reveals they’ve already met and Daisy told her he'd moved away. Daniel wants to know why she lied. Abi looks at her son, suddenly starting to bond with him.

Part Three: Seeing the lie of the land, Daniel decides to drop the subject of Daisy's deception. Gary sweats as Ron quizzes him about his relationship with Rick, wanting to know how he obtained money from him and what his contact number is. The neonatal nurse allows Abi to touch her son in his incubator. Imran rings Toyah from an appointment to get Elsie into Bessie Street School wanting to know her whereabouts. She lies that she's with an ex-client. As a scowling Daisy looks on, Nicky tells Daniel that his money helped her get through teacher training college. Leanne is bored to tears as Roy takes Sam through the mistakes he made in the game. The baby is taken for more tests. Michael is taken aback when Mary asks what present she can bring for Glory to her birthday. Abi is moved to tears when the nurse asks her to express milk for the baby, thinking she can't because she's taken drugs. Toyah remonstrates strongly with her for causing herself yet more problems.

Part Four: Toyah decides to intercede with the nurses and see if they can still use Abi's milk. Michael asks Ed not to invite the neighbours and let it just be a family party. Abi is told that she can provide her milk, provided she keeps off the drugs. Abi is grateful for all of Toyah's help. Nicky tells Daniel she left him a voicemail and he immediately suspects Daisy of interfering with his phone. In front of an unhappy Sam, Leanne lies to Nick that the after school club went well and they're going to make it a regular event. Returning to the flat, Laura can't understand why Gary told Ron that he hardly knew Rick. Kelly wants to know where they've been and Gary forces Laura to come clean to her daughter. Daniel remonstrates with Daisy for interfering in his friendship. Kelly rows with Laura for trying to bring her crooked father back into her life when she doesn't want his money. Gary sides with Kelly. Daniel tells an unhappy Daisy that she has no reason to be jealous and they need to trust one another. Imran is annoyed that Toyah failed to come to the school, saying that Elsie needs to be their priority. Still watching over her baby, Abi tells Aggie that she's decided to name him Alfie after Seb's favourite teddy bear, and is now determined to keep her son.
