Coronation Street Wiki

Plot[]

Part One: The Barlows' marriage hangs in the balance as Sarah bins her anniversary flowers from Adam. Steve suggests that Adam expose the cracks in Lydia's story. Linda takes a later flight to Portugal to say a proper goodbye to everyone. Gemma orders Bernie to be on her best behaviour as they see her off. Jon continues to text Emma. Toyah feels guilty that things are going so well for her while Abi's life is in ruins. Sam brushes up on chess strategies before playing Roy again. Adam demands that Sarah hear the case for the defence. Sarah agrees but is sceptical when he points out that all of the evidence so far could have been planted by Lydia. He encourages Sarah to ask Lydia for specific details on where and when they carried out their supposed affair, in order to catch her out.

Part Two: Amy notices the flurry of texts Emma is receiving and asks if they're from Curtis. Emma admits that there's a boy she likes but it can't happen. Amy advises her sister not to worry about what people think. Emma guesses that Amy is still seeing Jacob. Bernie and Linda exchange forced pleasantries at the cafe. Bernie takes Linda's number when she offers to help out if there's anything Joseph needs that Chesney can't afford. A defeated Abi packs her bags at No.13. Sarah demands dates and locations of when Lydia had sex with Adam. Lydia says the affair went on for a few weeks but she can't remember the specifics. She calls Adam cruel and dangerous and shows Sarah threatening messages on her phone that are supposedly from Adam. Sarah observes that they're not from Adam's number, which Lydia counters by saying he switched to another phone to cover his tracks. Dialling the number, Sarah finds the phone stashed in Adam's sock drawer. Daniel summons Adam from the solicitors' as Sarah begins throwing her husband's things into the street. Now completely convinced of the affair, Sarah demands a divorce.

Part Three: Sarah takes Adam's flat key from him. He's annoyed that she's trusting Lydia over him. Toyah sees Abi knocking back a bottle of vodka in Seb's memorial garden and urges her to go to a support group. Abi agrees, to shut her up. Adam convinces Daniel that Lydia is telling a pack of lies. Amy tells Emma how great Jacob has been since the drink spiking. Sam confidently challenges Roy to another chess game. Linda leaves for Portugal. Adam calls at Lydia's flat but she refuses him admittance. She pretends to be scared of him as she spots a couple of passers-by through the peephole.

Part Four: Daniel asks Sarah how reliable Lydia is. Sarah thinks he's only defending Adam because he's family. Sam is once again checkmated by Roy, despite a valiant effort by the lad. Sam offers Roy a reluctant handshake, declaring himself useless. Jon finds Emma watching film clips on her phone at Victoria Gardens. When he suggests they have a night in with a movie and popcorn, Emma accepts. Abi introduces Toyah to her new sponsor Dean Turnbull. Lydia finally opens the door to Adam but as he steps inside, he discovers she has trashed the place. As he turns to leave, the police appear and he realises he's been set up. Emma and Amy agree to keep their relationships a secret from everyone. Imran dissuades Toyah from getting further involved with Abi, while Dean - in reality Abi's dealer - supplies her with drugs. Sarah is infuriated that Adam is too cowardly to admit that he had an affair. Adam tells the police that Lydia has a vendetta against him. As Lydia shows the police the abusive texts, Adam is arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and criminal damage.
