Plot[]
Part One: Sarah answers Adam's phone to a call from Sasha at the Chariot Square Hotel informing her that they’ve found the ladies' watch from his last visit. Adam thinks it's just the hotel being incompetent and claims he was out for a drink and game of pool after their argument last night. Tyrone finds out that Kevin has gone off in the campervan without Abi. Chesney plans to spend quality time with Joseph and is disappointed when he asks if grandma Linda can come with them. Craig is down as it's his first day at Underworld. In the factory, a calculating Lydia sees Sarah listening in as she makes out to Toyah that she spent the night with her married man. Imran shows Adam further poor online reviews of their business and suggests he steps away for a while. Adam angrily refuses. Tracy phone the wine company and makes a forceful complaint. Despite Tracy being involved, Yasmeen feels let down when Stu confesses what he did. Sally has her suitcase packed for a visit to Gina whose bipolar condition is flaring up. Imran hears that Kevin and Abi might have split up.
Part Two: Lydia winds up Kirk that Craig has joined the factory on an undercover police matter. Sarah tells Lydia about the ladies’ watch. She plants a seed by saying she should trust him and not do anything like search through his receipts. On the way to the tram station, Sally sees Abi in Victoria Gardens and Imran listens in as she wallows in self-pity and blames Sally for being the cause of Kevin finding out. Stu calls at No.1 with the remaining bottles of the posh wine and admits to Steve how he swapped the expensive stuff for cheap plonk. Steve is understanding, telling Stu that the wine merchants gave them the order for free after her complaint and invites him in to drink the good bottles. Prompted by Lydia, Sarah returns home and searches through Adam's receipts. She finds one from an expensive lingerie shop. Joseph wants to go geocaching and his request that Linda goes with them sends Chesney into a rant about his gran not being reliable, upsetting the boy. Sarah calls the hotel and queries Adam's bill. She's rocked as they confirm that he ordered Champagne and oysters, remembering Lydia's claim about food poisoning. Imran quizzes Abi and finds out that Kevin knows everything, but he thinks the man involved was Tez Wyatt. Toyah approaches as they argue. Imran and Abi freeze when she asks what's going on. Sarah confronts Lydia who feigns tears and admits that she and Adam are having an affair.
Part Three: Lydia makes out that she and Adam just couldn't resist each other and suddenly they’re interrupted by the arrival of the man himself. Imran and Abi make up a suitable story for Toyah to allay any suspicions. Chesney refuses to apologise to Joseph, worried that Linda is going to take his son from him. His first shift in packing with Kirk over, Craig paints on a smile for Faye. Adam assures Sarah that Lydia's unhinged and lying through her teeth, but Sarah shows him the receipts. She throws Lydia out as the two argue. Ed calls at No.1 to remonstrate with a drunk Steve about the noise. He invites him in to join the party he's got going with Stu and Tracy. Yasmeen confides in Tim, saying that Stu's prank has reminded her of Geoff's actions. He makes her realise that Stu's sincere apology makes him nothing like his dad. Adam claims Lydia is crazy, but Sarah's head is full of the convincing written evidence she's dug up. She tells him to leave.
Part Four: Toyah calls on Abi to make sure that she's okay. Abi claims she and Kevin split up because he found a stash of drugs. Abi feels guilt-ridden as Toyah is being so nice to her. Faye confides in Emma that Craig hates his new job and she feels awful for him. Adam confronts Lydia who says he left her feeling dismantled ten years ago and she's going to do the same to him. Imran is relieved to hear about the story that Abi told Toyah. David interrupts when he sees Adam making a grab for a scared Lydia. In the cafe, Joseph moans to Linda about his miserable life as she tells him that it's Chesney's decision as to whether he goes to Portugal with her. Yasmeen calls at No.1 to look for a missing Stu and finds him drunk alongside Tracy and Ed, with Steve passed out. She reluctantly joins them to continue the session in the Rovers. Abi calls Kevin and leaves a message telling him that she loves him. David rings Sarah and tells her what he saw. Lydia calls round to keep up the pressure, saying she's freed her from a liar and she is free to start afresh. A furious Sarah throws her out and collapses to the floor in tears.

Notes[]
- On 24th January 2022, ITV announced that after over 61 years, as from March, the programme would be broadcast in hour-long episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8.00pm. In the event, the change was introduced several days earlier and, although many double episodes had been shown on Fridays since Episode 9699/700 (22nd February 2019), this was the first regular such instalment, albeit it was transmitted in the traditional 7.30pm timeslot and therefore not strictly part of the new schedule.
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
- Since Episode 10092 (24th July 2020), a "cohort" system had been in place whereby enclosed team of directors, cameramen, sound, costume and make-up staff, etc, would work in one studio at a time with only the actors coming in from "outside" the cohort to record their scenes, with the same set-up being replicated in the other studios. This ensured that any mixing was kept to a minimum. It also meant that a single director was not responsible for all the scenes in a given episode, but it was decided not to amend the credits to show multiple hands at the helm. The cohort system lasted until the Episode 10571 (23rd February 2022), meaning this was the first episode in eighteen months in which single directors helmed all scenes within their own blocks.
- Yasmeen Metcalfe mentions Geoff Metcalfe sabotaging Brian Packham's broad beans, referencing Episode 9736/7 (5th April 2019).
- TV Times synopsis: Lydia's trail of evidence leads Sarah to the wrong conclusion; Imran quizzes Abi on how much Kevin knows; and Stu calls at Number 1 in an effort to make amends.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 5,607,000 viewers (7th place).
