Plot[]
Part One: Chesney refuses the suggestion, saying that Joseph isn't neglected. As Gemma listens from the stairs, Linda tries to point out the advantages she could offer but Chesney orders her out of the house. Max insists he's not lying about what happened at the party, but Daniel points out the inconsistencies in his story. To stop Daniel calling the police, Max confesses, and Daniel wrings a confession out of him that he was the intended target. Having been alerted by a text from Gemma, Bernie rails at Linda outside No.5. Joseph wants to know what the matter is and Linda asks him outright if he’d like to come and live with her. Max points out to Daniel that they've both made mistakes and asks him outright if he ought to go to prison for what he did. Unable to take in what he's heard Daniel leaves the house. Stu remarks to Jenny that high and mighty Tracy ought to be taken down a peg or two. Adam and Sarah have spent the afternoon in bed. She tells Adam that Lydia's married man won’t leave her alone. He advises her to keep away from Lydia's problem. Railing at Linda for dumping a huge decision on his son, Chesney orders Linda to stay away from them. Abi walks into the bistro with Sally and sees Imran and Toyah celebrating their engagement.
Part Two: As Gemma and Chesney discuss how best they can ensure Joseph's happiness, the boy listens from the stairs and misconstrues by thinking they don’t want him anymore. A tipsy Stu sees the case of fine wines waiting on No.1's doorstep and takes the box. Amy tells Daniel that she's a strong person and is fine with what happened. Having also joined the parties in the bistro, Sean tries to push the reluctant people into joining in a game of "Never have I ever..." Abi storms out and Sally follows her, saying she knows what's wrong with her and assumes that Kevin has cheated on her. Abi admits that she was the one who cheated. As Toyah comes out to see if they're okay, an appalled Sally storms off. Alone with Joseph, Gemma makes things worse for the confused lad by saying that he might be happier in Portugal. Daniel tells David he knows everything, but as Amy is fine, and none of them are blameless, he will not be informing the police, but none of them are to say anything ever as his family will never forgive him if they find out that he knew who the spiker was. Chesney is shocked when a depressed Joseph announces that wants to live with Grandma Linda.
