Plot[]
Part One: Linda calls at No.5 early when the house is in a tip. She offers to pay for Joseph to attend an expensive half-term activity club and a grateful Gemma accepts. Shona reads the riot act to Max and orders him to go and apologise to Daniel. Bernie is put out to hear about the activity club. Kevin reveals to Abi that he and Jack have booked a holiday in Bridlington for after the adoption hearing by way of celebration. Sarah almost catches Lydia going through the office diary. She's put out to hear that things are good between her and Adam. A jealous Bernie grudgingly admits to Gemma that she doesn't like swanky Linda. Having opened his wage packet and seen that Yasmeen has increased his pay, Stu insists it's time he started paying her rent. Linda returns home with Joseph to be greeted by Bernie who explains that Llio and Aled are ill. When Linda suggests Joseph can stay with her at her posh hotel, Joseph's thrilled. Max approaches Daniel in the cafe and after apologising for all the grief he's given him, asserts that he'll be returning to school next week. Daniel is immediately suspicious as to why David has changed his mind about keeping him away until the school find out who spiked the drinks.
Part Two: Daniel finds out from Steve that a problem with the SD card supposedly meant that Max's footage of the party couldn't be viewed. Joseph is put out when Llio is sick over his only pair of jeans. Tracy brags to Jenny about the fine wine tasting experience Ken got her for Christmas. Tracy is rude to Stu about his begging days when he calls into the Rovers for a pint. Lydia lies to Sarah, saying she can't get her married man to commit to her. Linda takes Joseph to the cafe for a treat. They talk about how much he enjoyed his visits to Portugal. Fiz is put out when she puts him off playing with Hope and retaliates by telling her that her grandson stole from her purse and everything shouldn't be blamed on her daughter. Daniel calls on Max when he is alone and outlines his suspicions that he was the person who spiked the drinks. He threatens to call the police. Citing that Bernie is a bad influence, Linda tentatively suggests to Chesney that it's clear they’re struggling, and it might be best if Joseph came to live with her in Portugal.
