Plot[]

Part One: Asha alerts Steve as to what's happened while Jacob puts Amy in the recovery position. Jacob denies Asha's accusations of supplying Amy with drugs. Lydia tells Sarah she's going to meet her boyfriend and call it off as the guilt is killing her. Amy is rushed to hospital. Chesney and Gemma return home to find the living room a total mess. An exhausted Bernie feels underappreciated when Chesney has a go at her after she's put the children to bed. Gemma defends her mum, telling Chesney she's doing her best. Elaine signs up for a course on heart health so she can find out more about Tim's condition. In the hospital, Steve and Tracy stare in shock at Amy's seemingly lifeless body. Lydia shows up at the Chariot Square Hotel and spies on Adam and Mr Martin from another table. Asha and Aadi arrive at the hospital, as does Jacob. Steve is stunned to see Jacob.

Part Two: Insisting that he didn't give Amy anything, Jacob reminds Asha that she was with Amy all night so would have known if he'd slipped her something. He thinks someone spiked her drink earlier in the night as she was looking rough when she got to the club. A sloshed Sarah parks herself with Peter and Carla in the Rovers and moans about her ruined Valentine's Day. Lydia deliberately loses her watch in the hotel restaurant and asks a waitress to contact her boyfriend if it turns up, giving her Adam's details. She orders an expensive meal to be taken up to his room. Steve tells Aadi and Asha that Amy's blood tests show she's taken GHB. They remain fully convinced that Jacob spiked Amy's drink but the twins continue to keep him in the dark about his daughter's relationship with Jacob. Daniel has an intimate dinner with Daisy at the Rovers which ends with her leading him up to her bedroom. Max gets defensive when David questions him about how the dance went. Jacob refuses to leave the hospital until he knows Amy's okay. He tells Steve and Tracy that he's changed and cares about Amy. To stop Steve from calling the police, he tells him that Amy is his girlfriend.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
The main building of the MediaCity studios doubled as the exterior of Weatherfield General while the scenes outside the Spirit of the Night nightclub were recorded on the Non-specific street part of the MediaCity studios backlot.
