Plot[]
Part One: Lydia doesn't clock the tension between Daniel and Daisy. Asha is gentle with Nina and foregoes the open day in order to help her through her anxieties. Daniel tells Lydia he can't see a future for them and breaks up with her. He admits he kissed Daisy. She calls him a disgrace and storms out. Asha unlocks the cafe door to let Roy in. As Nina dashes upstairs, Roy's concerned about his niece's mental health. Maria discovers Kelly's belongings are missing from the flat. Daniel goes to a meeting with Mrs Crawshaw expecting punishment for the incident with Max but is praised for showing compassion and invited to apply for a permanent post at Weatherfield High at the end of his placement.
Part Two: David and Shona are outraged when the deputy head tells them that the school is considering an appropriate punishment for Max for breaking into a teacher's home. Daniel feels uncomfortable when Ken showers him with praise for the way he's handled the situation. Rita persuades Audrey to put their quarrel to bed by giving her a hairdo. Audrey's relieved when Rita clocks her bottles of wine but merely asks for a glass. Maria catches Kelly at the bus stop. Kelly tells her why she's leaving and Maria explains that she was talking about Sally earlier. Kelly agrees to stay on. Adam runs into a tipsy Lydia staggering outside the Rovers. She refuses to let him call her a cab. Finding Audrey and a freshly-coiffed Rita getting on famously, Shona smugly takes the credit. When Audrey bridles at being set up, Rita's patience snaps and, with a parting shot about her daytime drinking, she flounces out. Roy tells Nina he's certain that with the right help, she can thrive again. His words get through to his niece and she agrees to try. Adam arrives late to Sarah's birthday dinner at the bistro. Daisy calls on Daniel after hearing that he's finished with Lydia. She's stunned when he tells her that he did push Max.
