Plot[]

Part One: Emma makes Steve confirm that he's known since yesterday that Curtis didn't steal the charity money. She races to stop Curtis from leaving Weatherfield. Kevin shows the letter to Tyrone but asserts Abi mustn't find out. Daniel guesses that Max altered the lyrics and is dismayed that his name is still being dragged through the mud. Daisy feels for him and, grabbing the microphone, tells the crowd that there isn't a shred of truth to the rumours and Daniel is the most decent and kindest man she has ever met. Daniel's touched by the gesture. Tracy tells Steve he did the right thing by keeping the truth from Emma. Emma discovers from Debbie that Curtis has handed in his notice. Attempting to salvage her Christmas dinner plans, Sarah rounds up the Platts and Barlows and suggests they sort out their differences. But as the two families trade insults, Sarah wonders what she has let herself in for. Abi and Jack decorate No.13 for Christmas. As they admire their efforts, Abi cries because Seb can't be a part of it. Max offers Daniel a genuine apology for tampering with the laptop, explaining that he was going to fix it until David stopped him. Daniel is happy to start afresh with the lad. Emma is devastated after missing Curtis at the tram station and blames Steve for causing her to miss her last chance with him.

Part Two: Nina has a panic attack when some kids run off with the tip jar at the market. Asha gives chase and retrieves it but remains oblivious to Nina's troubles. Steve tells Emma that Curtis is no big loss as he wasn't the man she thought he was. She feels sorry for him for being so cynical and says she'll never forgive him. The Platts and Barlows call a truce following Max's apology to Daniel, allowing the dinner to go ahead. Peter is intrigued by Daniel and Daisy's relationship, showing Daniel a picture of the pair that Daisy posted on her social media. Kevin's secretive as he takes a phone call, his face etched with worry. Carla realises Nina's problems run much deeper than she's letting on as she explains that she is suffering from anxiety over Asha's safety. In her flat, Emma cries over her wedding invitations as she fears she's lost Curtis for good.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
In a costuming error, Julia Goulding's ITV lanyard can be seen hanging around her neck in several brief close-up shots taken on Victoria Street.
