Plot[]
Part One: Emma admits she obtained her knowledge of Curtis's years of lies from Neville. He is tearful as he begs her not to let his father destroy their love, but she insists this is his last chance to be truthful with her. He stumbles out an admission that he isn't dying. A grateful Steve tells Tracy that Curtis has put the final £4,000 into Oliver's fund and they'd reached their target. Having heard from Kelly, Stu approaches Yasmeen who apologises for suspecting him, explaining she has trust issues, but he tells her it's too late to be friends. Curtis explains how his hole-in-the-heart operation when he was 13 brought his divorcing parents temporarily together and he's used illness as a tactic ever since, craving the love and attention. He admits he was never a medical student but insists he never took any pleasure in deceiving her. He begs her not to give up on him, agreeing that he is mentally sick. Sally is in her element as she conducts her Q&A in the bistro, some residents joining in by zoom. Maria humiliates her by asking her about being sent to jail for bribery and fraud when she was mayor. Emma hands Curtis his engagement ring back and asks him to pack his bags.
Part Two: Audrey admits she hates that her body is giving up on her as she ages. Before Emma can say anything to her dad, he tells her about the donation and how perfect Curtis is for her. Audrey tells Gail she isn't scared of dying but she is of losing her independence. She agrees to have an eye test. Emma gives Curtis another chance as she believes he is a good person. He agrees to see Dr Handley's psychologist and she can come to his appointments. She insists the family are told the truth after next week's wedding. To show Sarah how honest he wants to be, Adam presents her with a list of the women he has slept with, but she quickly realises he missed off Carla. Before they can row, her phone beeps to remind her that she's ovulating and she drags him home. Marrium admits to Zeedan that her father and brothers made his life difficult, and she didn't help matters, but she's seen that he's a decent caring man. Sally is determined to take Maria on. Curtis and Emma join Steve and Tracy for a meal in the bistro to celebrating the fund target being achieved. Leanne provides champagne on the house and Steve looks forward to tomorrow's hen and stag dos. Emma hides her concern.
