Plot[]

Part One: Summer rounds on Max for humiliating her in front of the whole school. Steve runs away when the moment arrives to tell Emma that he can only spare the cash for a small wedding. Daniel waits to find out if he's being charged. Hashim tells Zeedan that he expects to receive the insurance payout in addition to the laundered money. Zeedan is unable to meet his demands as the Nazirs need the payout to refurbish Speed Daal and buy Elaine out. Curtis refuses to accept the clean bill of health from Dr Handley. The Platts meet with Mrs Crawshaw to try and get Max's suspension lifted. David and Shona apologise on Max's behalf for assaulting Daniel but the lad shocks them all by saying he's glad he did it and wishes he'd hit the teacher harder. Mrs Crawshaw tells David that she has no option but to recommend Max for permanent expulsion. The police investigate the fire after receiving a tip-off that it was started deliberately.

Part Two: Alya and Yasmeen are interviewed separately at the police station. Alya is terrified when the police ask if they can look through Speed Daal's accounts. With Tracy's eyes boring into him, Steve suggests to Emma that she scale back her wedding. Amy hears the conversation and realises she's being prioritised over Emma. Sarah attends a meeting with client Gavin and his PA Lydia Chambers. As they strike a deal, Lydia notices Sarah's looking unwell and wonders if she might be pregnant. Phill reveals to Fiz that his boiler will be sorted today. He's disappointed when she says it's for the best that he moves back home. Zeedan decides to get rid of the books and say they were caught in the fire. Yasmeen is questioned about the debts incurred by Geoff. She explains that she paid them off by selling the community centre. Adam threatens to sue for slander if Max continues to besmirch Daniel's good name. David tells him to bring it on. Amy announces to her family that she's decided to study at Manchester instead and live at home. Tracy refuses to let her daughter throw her future away for the sake of a doomed marriage. At No.6, Hashim is about to call in someone to deal with the Nazirs when he suddenly sinks to his knees, clutching his chest. Zeedan prepares to call an ambulance when Alya stops him, suggesting that if Hashim dies, their problems are over.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
Renny Krupinski was the fight arranger on this episode for the scene of Hashim Elamin's collapse.
