Plot[]
Part One: Ed and Aggie go the legal route to ensure that Grace keeps up her end of the bargain once she has the money. Adam suggests getting her to sign a letter admitting to neglecting Glory and saying she wants Michael to have full care. He warns them that it wouldn't be legally binding but would be leverage if it went to court. Mimi steamrollers Fiz into going along with her lavish birthday party suggestions. Yasmeen blames Stu for starting the fire, and herself for trusting him. Max tries to find out whether Summer is seeing someone as they set up Weatherfield High's "Ice Ball" with Asha and Amy. She tells him it's none of his business. His suspicions are exacerbated when Asha and Amy comment on how Daniel was punching above his weight with Daisy and Summer defends Daniel. Curtis announces that he's going to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Oliver's fund. Summer skips lunch as she busies herself with the preparations. Daniel grabs her arm to steady her when she sways slightly. The moment is captured on camera by Max as he records Amy and Asha's introductions.
Part Two: Emma is concerned that the challenge will be too much for Curtis and calls Danielle from the support group. Danielle thinks it's a good idea as it shows he's still living his life to the full. She tries to interest him in writing an article for the newsletter and he reluctantly agrees. A concerned Daniel slips an energy bar into Summer's bag. He is again caught doing so on camera. Mimi orders hideous party dresses for Fiz and the girls. With Stu no longer critical, Yasmeen visits him in hospital and invites him to admit to causing the fire by accident. She becomes angry when he denies responsibility, asserting that someone else started it while he was in the toilet. Grace signs the letter and takes the £20,000 from Ed and Aggie. She turns down the chance to hold Glory for the last time and tearfully asks them not to tell her daughter anything about her. Max enters the classroom where the pupils have left their bags and rifles through Summer's in a bid to find out what Daniel placed inside. He finds the love poem Daniel wrote down for Summer and pockets it, assuming it to be proof of a relationship.
