Plot
Roy divulges his plan to work as a chef in South America feeding workers on a conservation project. Despite his assurances to the contrary, Nina remains convinced that his guilt over Natasha is clouding his judgement. Laura tells Imran that she's moved in with her new fella and hasn't clapped eyes on Kelly since the trial. Imran is appalled as she shows no concern for her missing daughter. Nina tries to drum up support to convince Roy to stay in Weatherfield and summons Carla. Faye tells Tim that she wants to work, just not at the bistro. Sally suggests to Maria that she should stand down from the election as they have similar politics and will split the vote. She offers Maria a place in her campaign but annoys the latter by implying that she's only good for photo ops. George calls at Nick and Leanne's flat and reveals that Sam slipped a note under his door requesting his company for some stargazing. As Sam looks at the telescope with George, Nick is overjoyed to see his son smile. Nina gathers Carla, Cathy, Brian, Mary, Fiz and Chesney outside the cafe and insists that Roy hears what they have to say before he leaves. His mind made up to depart, Roy listens as they describe how much he means to them. Tim suggests that Faye could take over Alina's sales job at the factory. Sarah's agreeable and offers her a month's trial. Kelly gets angry with Stu when he asks if she's too proud to accept help. She tells him to get lost. Carla tells Roy he's been like a father to her and with Johnny gone he's the only person she has left. Struggling to make sense of his behaviour, Carla plays back Nina's voicemail and demands an explanation. Roy says it's better for her not to know and Carla heads out, hurt. Maria decides to stand down and support Sally. As Roy leaves to catch his taxi, he finds Nina sitting in the darkened cafe. She begs him not to go. As Kelly beds down in a doorway, a drug dealer approaches and offers her some free spice. Kelly refuses and he heads off, leaving her terrified and alone. Roy explains to Nina that he needs to go away and atone for what he's done. She reminds him that he promised he'd always look after her. He leaves her crying in the cafe as he leaves the street with his bag.
