Plot[]
Part One: A troubled Jack watches on as Kevin and Abi discuss Tez's visit. The boy complains he has an earache and Kevin agrees he can stay off school as it's the wedding tomorrow. Maria is incensed to hear about a new bypass which will go through the Red Rec, destroying Liam's football playing field, and thinks something ought to be done to stop it. Curtis complains to a sympathetic Emma that he has an anatomy exam tomorrow and his medication is making it hard to concentrate. Yasmeen is happy that Speed Daal's turnover seems to be improving. Zeedan isn't pleased to see that Ryan has been rehired as a waiter. He lies to him that Hashim was there just to tie up loose ends. Corey taunts Abi and an upset Jack as they walk to the cafe. Ryan tells Alya about the argument he witnessed between Zeedan and Hashim. Hearing Abi and Jack talking about Corey's abuse, Nina tells Abi about the finding of Corey's clothes. Stu uses the soup kitchen in Victoria Street. Corey approaches him and demands a word. Hearing about Tez from Kevin, Debbie offers to call in on Abi and make sure all is fine about her ex. Zeedan is transferring money from his holdall to the till when Craig comes in to see him, Alya having reported his possible trouble with Hashim.
Part Two: Zeedan claims it has nothing to do with him being beaten up. Stu claims he knows nothing about any clothes and refuses to hand Corey his money back. Abi is impatient for the forensic results on the clothing. Aggie offers to give Emma her old nursing books on anatomy to help her assist Curtis with his revision. Zeedan rips into Alya and Ryan for interfering in his private affairs. Privately, Ryan admits to Zeedan that he told Alya about the row because he's still in love with her. Jack has enjoyed his day with Abi but she has to visit the photographers, so Debbie agrees to look after him for a while. Emma finds it hard to understand the textbooks. Maria complains to Sally about the bypass. She promises to find out what she can from her council contacts. Seeing that Jack is worried, Debbie gets him to open up. He hands her the letter, saying that Abi plans to kill Corey.

Notes[]
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
- This episode features a scene in which Gary Windass and Maria Connor watch a "viral video" of Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) from Emmerdale doing their "Doctor Dig" dance, promoting the GP growing his own community vegetables for "a village in Yorkshire". This reference was part of a week in which each of the major UK TV soaps included scenes involving one of their competitors, all on an environmental theme, to publicise the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference ("COP26") which was taking place in Glasgow that week. The idea was suggested by Emmerdale 's executive producer (and former Coronation Street storyliner) Jane Hudson.
- Sean Tully mentions once dating a vet called Tim, referencing a story that began in Episode 6060 (29th June 2005).
- TV Times synopsis: Abi's words come back to haunt her; and Maria learns of the council's plans to bulldoze the Red Rec.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 6,165,000 viewers (5th place).
