Plot[]
Part One: Roy finds it hard to forgive Nina for not telling him about the gun. She also feels she's let Asha down for not visiting her after the crash and he encourages her to change that now. Carla expresses her gratitude to Sarah for how Shona saved Jenny's life. A guilt-ridden Sarah keeps quiet about the sinkhole. Still stunned at Natasha's death and Sam's loss, Nick and Leanne hear from the police that they can go back to the flat. Remembering how young he was when Brian died, Nick cries for his son's pain. Sarah is annoyed at David's lack of compassion about Johnny's death. He reiterates that they must keep quiet. Sam hasn't slept well, dreaming about his mum. He insists that he goes back to the flat with Nick. Daniel overhears David and Sarah talking about Joe's view that they should have got the sinkhole fixed earlier. Back at the flat, Sam asks questions about how they cleared up Natasha's blood. Nick offers to move permanently. Sam shocks them when he asks to see his mum's body at the undertakers. Daniel tells Daisy what he's just heard. Homeless man Stu Carpenter comes into the corner shop where Asha spots him putting items into his rucksack. She sees it has a County logo such as the one that Corey disposed of, and demands to know where he got it. He tells her he found it in a river and runs out. She gives chase, telling a passing Nina what she saw, but Stu has got onto a bus on Rosamund Street and escapes the two girls.
Part Two: Nick finds it hard to cope with Sam's logic countering his arguments about not seeing Natasha. Daisy calls into the Rovers where Jenny apologises to her. Daisy passes on to her and Carla what Daniel told her. When Nick refuses to take Sam to the undertakers, he stalks out of the cafe. Nick runs after him. A tearful Leanne insists to Toyah that she can't become a mother to the boy. Finding Sam in Seb's memorial garden, Nick hears how his son needs a form of closure. Knowing that County only give such rucksacks to their players, Nina and Asha set out to track Stu down. Nick takes Sam into the undertakers.

Notes[]
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
- The episode is unusual in having four credited directors. This was due both to COVID restrictions and the amount of preparation needed for filming. Four film crews worked separately to record the episodes, each headed by one of the directors.
- TV Times synopsis: Asha recognises Stu's backpack and its importance in proving Corey's guilt; and Emma praises Curtis for his composure in an emergency.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 5,808,000 viewers (9th place).
