Plot[]

Part One: On a dark and drizzly afternoon, Debbie prepares for the launch of Horror Nation Street. A tent is set up in Brewery Lane with a pop-up bar and Ryan on DJ duty. The activity behind No.8 causes a tiny amount of earth to dislodge itself into the Platts' sinkhole. At No.13, Abi leaves a note for Kevin explaining her actions before setting off from the house with the gun. At Highfield Prison, Harvey schemes with a prison guard to deliberately injure himself in order to engineer a hospital visit. Nina watches an online video of Corey packing for Germany. Roy fears that Nina and Abi are plotting retribution against Corey. He urges his niece to listen to her conscience. A storm nears as the Alahans set off on their trip. Nina sees Abi getting into her car and asks to come with her. Abi refuses. Debbie gives Sam a sneak preview of the House of Horrors. Natasha is stuck in traffic on her way back from London and looks set to miss the event. Sam's gutted as they were doing The Addams Family and his costume won't make sense now. Johnny drops a bombshell on Carla - he's moving to Bali to be with Kate. Abi waits outside Corey's house, knowing from his video that he's alone there. She's forced to abandon her mission when the police suddenly arrive following the report of an assault at the property.

Part Two: Carla expresses her concern that Johnny is leaving just to get away from Jenny. Leanne tears a strip off Imran upon hearing from Rita that he helped with Harvey's appeal. Imran explains that he was being blackmailed as he cheated on Toyah. Leanne is assured by the pair that Harvey's appeal is dead in the water. The prison guard leaves the door unlocked for Harvey to escape as the prisoner is escorted to hospital. Dev avoids the motorway due to the heavy traffic but gets lost on a country road. With the storm now raging, the Alahans are left stranded when Dev runs over a fallen tree and the car gets two flat tyres. Nina questions Abi upon her return to the street. Abi quickly surmises that Nina called the police in order to thwart her plan. Nina explains that she wanted to stop her from doing something she'll regret. Getting her phone out to report Abi to the police, Nina tells her friend that she'll either have to shoot her or hand the gun over. Abi picks the latter option and Nina backs down. After taunting Nina in the street, Corey goes along to the House of Horrors wearing a wolf mask. Dev calls the garage for rescue and recovery. Meanwhile, on the same road, Harvey's accomplice fights for control of the prison van with the driver and the vehicle hits Dev's car side-on before running off the road and toppling over. A freed Harvey then pulls himself out of the van. Nina discovers that Abi has palmed her off with a glue gun. Going after Corey, Abi enters the House of Horrors dressed as Little Red Riding Hood.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording. For this episode, part of ITV's "Super Soap Week", over 70 such bubbles were employed by the cast and crew [1].
The episode is unusual in having four credited directors. This was due both to COVID restrictions and the amount of preparation needed to film the week's six episodes. Four film crews worked separately to record the episodes, each headed by one of the directors. Here, Brett Fallis handled the portion of the episode involving the prison van crash [2], while scenes on the outdoor set were directed by Suri Krishnamma [3].
For the prison van crash, the episode credits Paul Bailey as the stunt van driver and Joel Conlan as the stunt driver, with Lloyd Bass and Curtis Rivers as stunt co-ordinators across both this and the following episode. Additionally, Kate Waters was the fight arranger for the scene where Harvey Gaskell punches a wall.
The collision between the Alahans' car and the prison van was recorded on location on Stones Bank Road between Darwen and Bolton. The stunt was recorded in dry weather, with the roads doused in water by a fire engine to give them the appropriate wet look. [4]. The scene outside Stefan Brent's house was recorded outside 83, The Avenue, Sale.
L'il Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs is played as incidental music over the opening montage of this episode.
