Plot[]

Part One: Toyah takes in Imran's revelation that he got drunk and slept with a stranger on the night of Kelly's verdict, having previously claimed that he spent the night on Sabeen's sofa. Imran tells her about Sabeen using the knowledge to blackmail him into helping Harvey's appeal. Buoyed by what Bernie told him, Dev asks Natasha out. Natasha turns him down flat, as a watching Bernie laughs her head off. Toyah seethes at Imran's confessions as she presses him for details. Declaring that he isn't the man he thought she was, she hurries out of the flat to get away from him. Jenny enjoys Leo's company but struggles to believe that he fancies her more than Daisy. Dev calls Bernie cruel for setting him up and accuses her of being jealous. She calls him an old man and assures him that she's well over him. Beth thinks Johnny's best days are behind him. Peter finds Toyah contemplating her future with Imran at Victoria Gardens. She tells him what Imran did. He asks her if it's worth throwing away what they have.

Part Two: The social worker drops Elsie off at the flat. Imran is about to tell her that Toyah is left when the woman in question returns and puts on a show of unity for the child's sake. Natasha tells Audrey that she can't afford the salon anymore as she's paying for the sinkhole repairs. Johnny calls at the Rovers hoping to have a drink with Jenny, only to find her entertaining Leo. Toyah hasn't yet decided whether she and Imran have a future. Imran points out that he confessed when he didn't have to, as Sabeen had already backed down. Toyah doesn't believe him as he's changed his story several times already. Johnny wishes he could spend more time with Kate. Asha plucks up the courage to ask Nina out, but a distracted Nina's too upset after a run-in with a hostile Abi so turns her down. Asha's disappointed. Jenny takes the hint when Leo asks to see the bedroom. She leads him upstairs. Imran secretly meets with Abi in the Victoria Street ginnel. She's furious that he's told Toyah about their fling.

Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
