Plot

Part One: Toyah readies the flat for Elsie's arrival and is dismayed by Imran's apparent lack of interest. Daisy brags to Johnny that Jenny has a young admirer. Natasha is keen to modernise the salon but agrees to keep the name to avoid upsetting Audrey. Sabeen demands that Imran keep trying to get Sharon's number from Rita or else she'll blow his secret. Leo explains the mix-up over the flowers and invites Jenny out for a drink. Jenny turns him down because of the age gap. Beth asks Carla for a chance to show that she has management potential. Carla reluctantly agrees to let her sit in on a meeting with potential client Trevor Monton. Moments later, she more keenly recruits Johnny as a consultant when he complains that his life has lost its purpose. Abi feigns enthusiasm when Kevin tells her that Debbie's had a cancellation at the hotel for next month and he's booked the slot for the wedding. Imran offers to try and trace Sharon for Rita to show that she's safe and well. Rita smells a rat and makes Imran admit that he's working for a firm representing one of the gang members. She realises that he's been using her and shames him for using people for his own ends. Her words resonate with Imran.

Part Two: Carla and Johnny meet Trevor at the bistro, with Beth observing. Carla is annoyed as Trevor ignores her and talks over old times with Johnny. Gail reminds Natasha that she offered to pay to have the sinkhole fixed. Natasha agrees to put up the money, giving up on buying the salon. Imran refuses to do Sabeen's bidding any more and tells her to do her worst. He's shocked when Sabeen backs down and promises to keep his secret. Bernie is pleased when Natasha tells her she doesn't have designs on Dev. Jenny changes her mind and meets Leo after all. Their appearance at the bistro distracts Johnny and leads him to the business meeting. In his absence, Carla secures a deal with Trevor. Bernie decides to wind Dev up and lets him think that Natasha has the hots for him. Imran goes home and confesses to Toyah that he had a one night stand.

Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
