Plot[]
Part One: The Gazette’s back page leads with Corey's goal. Nina and Roy are still at odds over her behaviour. There are only three bookings for Speed Daal's tasting evening so a determined Zeedan heads out to drum up more interest. Summer is still struggling with her personal statement. Zeedan and Debbie swap guarded insults about the potential success of their respective curry evenings. Nina heads out, refusing to tell Roy where she's going. Tim and Sally celebrate their wedding anniversary. Sally is delighted to get a letter from the council saying they're considering her resident parking proposals, but her mind is instantly taken off her anniversary, much to Tim's chagrin. Daniel tells Ken he's taking things slowly with Daisy. Sally is concerned about Kevin's state of mind as he frets over Abi. Neither of them are getting responses to their voice messages left with their friend.
Part Two: Daisy is unhappy when Daniel ignores her as he chats to Summer about her statement, and then refuses a night out with her as he's busy with work. James tells Michael he's had a visit from Sammy Farr as County are suddenly being supportive about his police complaint, but he's feeling too much weight on his shoulders to make social change. Jack traces Abi's cousin Owain in Doncaster on social media and gets a number for his dad to contact him with. A jealous Tim finds Sally and Fergus in conference about their parking campaign in the Rovers. Tim ruefully comments to Dev that his wife has got the demented glint back in her eye. Bookings are up considerably at Speed Daal and Zeedan has the Gazette and Radio Weatherfield attending. Navid, the head chef, suddenly phones in sick with shingles and Zeedan predicts a disaster. Summer leaves her bag behind at No.7. Knocking it over by accident, Aadi sees two identical personal statements fall out and realises that Summer has copied Joely Hammersley's word for word. Daisy confides in Jenny, wondering if Daniel is gay for brushing her off. Telling her that others are available, Jenny draws her attention to good-looking sinkhole engineer Leo Thompkins as he enters the Rovers. Nina admits to Roy that she did want to drive at Corey, but she couldn't put him through the pain of the consequences. She resolves to get the best out of life from now onwards. Owain rings Kevin in response to his call and tells him Abi's not been staying with him, nor has he seen her for years. Kevin despairs what to do.
