Plot[]
Part One: Hope refuses to go to school as the other children are mean to her. George makes an excuse to avoid spending the night with Eileen. A hung-over Billy apologises for getting heavy with Summer and Aadi. Fiz is annoyed when Alina tells her she needs to be firm with Hope. Eileen is sick of being the one to take the initiative and wonders if George even fancies her. Mary accuses Eileen of being an inconsiderate landlady and suggests that overnight visitors be agreed with everyone in the household in future. Eileen is furious when George gives her idea the nod. Ken sports a bandage on his hand after suffering a fall on the Red Rec while walking Rover. Norris texts Ken saying he has something important to tell him. Aadi persuades Dev to pay for lunch for him and Summer by way of apology for his drunken behaviour last night. Ken asks Mary what Norris's news might be. Mary doesn't want to know, bitter that Norris never calls her now that he's at Stillwaters. She suspects Freda is stopping him from seeing his old friends. Alina asks Hope to be a flower girl at the wedding. The girl retorts that she won't be there as she hates Alina for stealing her dad and making him not love her any more. Tyrone snaps at his daughter for her cheek.
Part Two: Eileen is pleased when George points out that Mary's new rules don't say anything about daytime guests. Alina spends time alone with Hope while Tyrone calms down. She manages to make headway with Hope with the girl pulling the damaged teddy from her bag, admitting she stole it and she's sorry about the fire. Summer and Aadi have lunch at the bistro, where they agree to wait before having sex. Eileen offers Mary an olive branch, suggesting one day a week where no partners are allowed in the house. Mary is mollified. Alina gets a contrite Hope to apologise for her behaviour to Fiz. When Hope also says sorry for the other fires, a stunned Alina realises that the extent of Hope's troubles have been kept from her. Craig goes for his interview with DC Wiley. He tells the detective that James was not driving erratically, nor were he and Michael aggressive in any way when stopped by PC Brody. Ken takes up Jenny's suggestion of inviting Norris and Freda to the Rovers so that they can see everyone. He calls Norris, only for a paramedic to answer the phone. Alina tells Tyrone that she's fed up with all the lies. He thinks she's talking about him and Fiz and gives away the fact that there are still more secrets. Ken, Rita and Mary rush to hospital after learning that Norris has suffered a stroke. Tyrone confesses to Alina that he kissed Fiz.
