Plot[]

Part One: A guilty Imran heads home in last night's clothes. Nina heads him off, wanting to discuss other ways in which they can bring Corey down. He tells her and an interested Gary that there are no grounds for appeal. Leanne tells him the news that Kelly is in hospital. Continuing to take her frustrations out on him, Abi tells Kevin that the two of them are over. Tyrone struggles to muster up any interest in Alina's plans to have their wedding in Romania. A hopeful James sets off for a scan on his knee. Imran finds Toyah waiting at the hospital where Kelly is stable and sleeping. He claims he spent the night sleeping in his office. Tyrone makes an excuse to call on Fiz and finds her in tears over the fact that other parents have set up a WhatsApp group to petition the school to exclude Hope as they don't think their own children are safe in her company. He offers her his full support but she's not interested. Aadi has a go at a distracted Dev for not taking any interest in him and Summer. Fiz rails at David when she finds out he's a member of the group, and at Maria for not informing her when she herself found out about it.

Part Two: Fiz is touched when Phill contacts her, having heard about the group, due to his own nieces' attendance at the school, and wanting to see how she is. Evelyn approves of him and encourages Fiz to take up his offer of lunch at the bistro. Kevin finds Abi with her bags packed, waiting for a taxi to take her to stay at a cousin's in Doncaster. She falsely claims that she never loved him and he was nothing but a stopgap. Crying to herself, she leaves. Tyrone is angry with David when he finds out he's a member of the group and is jealous when he sees Phill waiting outside No.9 for Fiz. James returns disconsolate, having been told he's not recovered yet. Telling Ed and Aggie that he's going to chase up the police investigation, he sets off in anger for the station with his mother in worried pursuit. Craig sees them go. Imran rings the Millbank Centre in anger, furious that they allowed Kelly to attempt suicide. Toyah upbraids him for losing his temper, saying he has to get things together for the girl's sake. Tyrone tries to find out from Evelyn what is going on between Fiz and Phill. She sends him packing with a flea in his ear. After another lecture from Aadi, Dev rings Billy and invites him and Summer for dinner that night. Tyrone comes into the bistro and finds Fiz and Phill dining. While Phill goes to the gents, Tyrone tells Fiz how much he misses her.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
