Plot[]
Part One: Imran is pessimistic, unable to find any concrete evidence of witness tampering that he can produce in court. Fearing the verdict, Toyah counsels him to concentrate on Kelly's state of mind and give her hope. Kevin has taken the day off work in case the jury reaches a verdict today. Asha doesn't want to make things harder on Nina by being in court so Dev agrees to go in her place. Kelly is on edge, trying desperately to look on the positive and thinking of doing an apprenticeship if things go well. Thinking of what Toyah said, Imran lies to her that he thinks the verdict will go against Corey. Roy has closed the cafe for the day to be with Nina. His niece produces a mourning veil that she plans to wear in court to remind people what the day is about. Dev calls on them to see how they are doing and gives Roy a lucky charm from Asha to pass on. Kevin can't find Abi anywhere, fearing that she is doing something daft. Stefan finds that his business is getting a lot of cancellations. Abi enters his office and locks them both in. Kevin and Debbie look for Abi as Imran reaches a call to say that the jury has reached their verdict. A panicking Nina makes last-minute adjustments to her veil, refusing the good-luck charm. As Stefan orders a calm but determined Abi out and threatens her with the police, she begs him to admit that he bought his witness. Suspecting she's recording their conversation, he admits nothing. Stefan's secretary uses a panic alarm to call the police who arrest her when he lies that she threatened violence towards him.
Part Two: The parties gather in the court while Simon tries to convince Asha that her evidence didn't make things worse for Nina. She begs him to go to court to see what happens and apologise to Nina. Craig expediates Abi being processed quickly at the station and rushes her to court for the verdict. Kelly is found guilty and collapses in tears. Abi arrives late and is devastated to see Corey walking free with his father. The lad waits until he cannot be seen by anyone and slyly winks at Abi as they leave to celebrate with a curry.

Notes[]
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
- Scenes at Weatherfield Crown Court were recorded at the old magistrates' court in Le Mans Crescent, Bolton. This shoot was the first piece of location filming conducted for the programme which was not in close proximity to the MediaCity studios since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic though only two members of the jury was shown to reduce the number of actors in the closed space. In addition, Sally Carman's shots for the storyline were recorded later separately to the other scenes over a two-day shoot as the actress was on sick leave due to Covid during the original filming.
- The court clerk and the forewoman of the jury were uncredited although they had lines of dialogue.
- No episodes were transmitted on Wednesday 8th September to allow for coverage of World Cup qualifier football.
- TV Times synopsis: Abi seeks proof of Stefan's corruption, and Kevin wishes she would just leave it to Imran, while the legal eagle prays for a positive outcome for Kelly; and the jury returns from its deliberations.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 5,808,000 viewers (6th place).
