Plot[]
Part One: Fiz and Tyrone take a reluctant Hope to her first therapy session. George assures Todd that he'll dispose of Phelan's ashes in a respectful manner as soon as he can. Todd remains unconvinced. Abi and Kevin see Stefan Brent with a mystery man outside court. Abi wonders who he is when he sits in the public gallery. Imran tells Toyah that there's been a development but doesn't have time to elaborate before the trial resumes. Curtis suddenly collapses unconscious while working at the bistro. Sean calls an ambulance. Corey takes the witness box and lies through his teeth, telling the court that Kelly hates Nina because she's different to her. He testifies that Kelly led the chase of Nina and Seb and was the one who kicked Seb over. He denies hitting Seb, claiming that it was all Kelly and he tried to stop her, to no avail. Sabeen then questions him about his disposal of evidence and tardiness in reporting the crime. Corey lies that he covered it up out of fear that Kelly would set her dad, a gangster, on him. He claims that she threatened to get someone to kill him if he went to the police.
Part Two: During a break, Toyah tells Abi how much she admires her. Abi breaks down in tears in the ladies' toilets. Hope explains to the psychologist that she started the fire because she felt sad when her dad left and people are always leaving her. Fiz and Tyrone listen, heartbroken. Imran questions Corey about his supposed attempts to hold Kelly back. He uses Corey's height and weight to argue that he could have easily have overpowered Kelly. Emma is stunned to see Curtis in an ambulance. Imran accuses Corey of using Kelly's dad to shift the blame, reminding the court of the multiple witnesses who have testified that he's a bully, and that he's the one with a reason to hate Nina, not Kelly. Trying to wear Corey down, he asserts that he decided to punish Nina and Seb and killed Seb in a fit of prejudice and jealousy. Corey bursts into tears, swearing that it wasn't him. The psychologist warns Fiz and Tyrone that it'll be a long journey helping Hope. While George's back is turned, Todd tries to steal the ashes but as he lifts the lid on the urn, George returns and catches him red handed. Eli Higginson gives evidence in Corey's defence, testifying that he heard Corey begging Kelly to stop hitting Seb. Kelly is outraged and kicks off, suggesting that Eli has been paid off. The judge has her removed from the courtroom.
