Plot[]

Part One: Ronnie moves his car and the ambulance gets through. Liam is given oxygen by a paramedic. Emma clears up the glass she knocked over while Tyrone blathers out an excuse that he and Fiz were discussing childcare. She isn't fooled. Grace is annoyed when she realises Michael isn't enthusiastic about finding their own home, enjoying the convenience of living in the street. Grace reveals she's been offered a job in Hull and is thinking of taking it. At the hospital, Liam is diagnosed with asthma. Maria's shocked to be told that air pollution caused by traffic fumes is a common cause of the condition. Daisy teases Jenny that she's fooling no one and she clearly has the hots for Ronnie. Imran finds Sabeen in the bistro and is keen to pick her brains about Kelly's defence. He's shocked when she reveals she's one of the barristers on Corey's large and expensive defence team having been hired by Stefan Brent. She tells him he doesn't stand a chance against them. Liam isn't happy at the thought he might need an inhaler from now onwards.

Part Two: Maria displeased that Gary takes so long to arrive at the hospital. Emma is disapproving when Tyrone says he couldn't afford the engagement ring that Alina set her heart on. A fraught Maria takes out her worries on Gary. An angry Emma demands to know from Tyrone if he is still seeing Fiz. Kevin interrupts their conversation. Returning to the office, Imran is stunned when he opens the envelope stuffed with £20 notes. With Emma gone, Kevin wrangles the truth out of Tyrone. Michael suggests holding off on the house move until his babygrow business prospers. Grace offers to work with him and he can't find a way to refuse. Kirk chats to Maria from the Underworld van. She notes the polluting fumes coming from the exhaust. Daisy tells Ronnie to make his move on Jenny. Maria storms into the factory and demands that Sarah takes the van off the road. When she refuses, Maria goes outside and starts to attack it with a tool from the garage. Alina asks Emma to be her Maid of Honour. Tyrone presents her with the expensive ring of her choice. Emma can't decide how genuine he's being. No one can stop a hysterical Maria in her rampage against the van and the police have to be called. At her wits' end, she gives up and walks off.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact such as the paramedic assisting Liam Connor. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
