Plot[]

Part One: Imran has been up since 3.00am going through his papers for Laura's upcoming child cruelty hearing, desperate to keep up for Kelly's sake since Corey has such an expensive team backing him up for the trial. Gary returns from visiting Zack in Bristol. He hears from Maria that Imran is struggling to compete with Corey's hot-shot lawyer. Liam has a bad cough and is not himself. A guilty Tyrone is on edge around Alina. Jenny isn't pleased hear that Ronnie is having lunch with Debbie. Grace looks over the details of a house that Ed and Aggie have bought at auction as a rental now that his cashflow problems are over. He offers Grace financial advice and help with a home for her, Michael and Glory. Liam has a doctor's appointment booked. Wanting to be honest with Maria, Gary tells her that he's giving Imran his savings for Kelly's defence. Fiz and Evelyn scrub the house down awaiting the arrival of Hope's youth custody officer. She detects an atmosphere between Tyrone and Fiz and tells them to put on a show. Sabeen Habeeb turns up at the solicitors wanting to see her husband. She leaves a message with Adam for Imran to meet her at the bistro. Maria is livid about the money, annoyed that the spectre of Rick Neelan is continuing to come between her and Gary. She insists he keeps the money and they move on together, away from his past.

Part Two: Fiz and Tyrone have a successful meeting with the officer, putting on a united front. Once she's gone, Fiz is hurt when Tyrone describes their kiss as a mistake which won't happen again. Ronnie and Daisy are amused to see how jealous Jenny is of Debbie meeting him. Fiz walks in on Tyrone and Alina discussing an engagement ring in the Rovers. Adam passes on the message to a surprised Imran. While the two lawyers are out of the office, Gary posts an envelope of cash through the letterbox. Michael fakes enthusiasm when Grace gives him the house news. Sally annoys Maria with constant talk about the parking campaign. Playing football with Jack in the street, Liam suddenly falls to the pavement, gasping for breath. While Maria and Aggie assist him, Sally rings an ambulance. Tyrone talks to Fiz in the Rovers' back yard where someone overhears them mentioning about last night. They accidentally knock a glass over and their presence is detected. The ambulance can't get past the parked cars.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew. Exceptions were occasionally made for instances in which characters were required to be in close contact, such as Maria Connor and Aggie Bailey assisting Liam Connor. These were made in accordance with the rules by employing measures such as more frequent testing and cast members bubbling up together prior to recording.
TV Times synopsis: An ambulance arrives for Liam, whose life is endangered due to double-parked cars; and Tyrone is guilt-ridden about his feelings for Fiz.
