Plot[]
Part One: Tyrone makes a full statement, telling the police that Hope didn't mean to hurt anyone and Fiz took the blame to protect her daughter. He produces Hope's dinosaur and the nail varnish remover as the missing pieces of evidence. Daisy attempts to impress Daniel by feigning an interest in Byron, but Ryan undermines her efforts when he asks why she's been looking up Byron quotes on her iPad. Sally tries a charm offensive on Fergus, suggesting he joins her at the Rovers for a white wine. He thinks she's trying to bribe him to revoke her parking ticket and gives her the short shrift. Debbie's plan backfires when Leanne and Nick tell her that Ronnie can have the bistro as they're buying a cafe bar in the northern quarter instead. In desperation, Debbie cuts her price by £5,000 and they agree to become business partners. Fiz maintains that she's the arsonist, but eventually cracks and begs them not to punish her little girl. Daisy is unimpressed when Ryan books them two places at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Adam warns Daniel to watch out for Daisy. Abi gives Imran a hard time for defending Kelly. Fiz gets a caution for perverting the course of justice. DS Abney wants to question Hope. Fiz assumes that Alina shopped her daugher to the police and is shocked when Tyrone confesses that it was him.
Part Two: Tyrone defends his actions as being the right thing to do but Fiz calls it the ultimate betrayal and orders him to stay away from her and the girls. Brian encourages Abi's efforts with her impact statement, reminding her of the work she put into her English GCSE. She asks for his help. Debbie is aghast to discover that Leanne and Nick made up the story about the cafe bar but they all put their differences aside to work together. Evelyn forces a quarreling Tyrone and Fiz to put on a united front and prepare Hope for her police interview. Debbie suggests that Ronnie pops over to the bistro, her treat. He turns her down as he has his eye on someone else. Tyrone and Fiz tell Hope that the police want to talk to her about the fire and she needs to tell the truth. Hope doesn't show any remorse for starting the fire.
