Plot[]
Part One: Todd hides as Ed looks warily round the yard. He leaves and rechains the gates. With his set of bolt-cutters, Todd again breaks the chain and steals the pump, momentarily horrified to find the body of Shirley Middleton in the back of the van. George and Eileen bicker about the missing van. Todd gets away just before his mother and his boss round the corner into Victoria Street, looking for him and the van. Ryan moves his things out of No.6. Ed returns from his hoax call and discovers that the heat pump has been stolen. Emma and Curtis play on Dev's vanity to talk him into agreeing to take part in the charity calendar. A depressed Paul has had several cans and gets David to join him for more drinks in the Rovers. Eileen and George return from a recce to find the van, only to see Eric Middleton waiting outside the undertakers to view his mother's casket. Todd returns the van to George, claiming he had to go to the crematorium and quickly telling Eric that they will be ready for a viewing in an hour. Fiz meets up with Chris and agrees to do the article. Todd makes out to a furious George that he borrowed the van to help out a mate in crisis and would never have taken it had he known there was a body in the back. George is unable to sack him as he can't manage alone with his broken wrist. Craig takes the details when Ed reports the pump stolen. When asked if he could think of anyone who would do it, Ed immediately thinks of Paul.
Part Two: Will pressures Todd for the money. Emma and Curtis also talk a reluctant Tim into agreeing to take part in the calendar, again playing on jealousy and vanity. Chris agrees to use pseudonyms in her article. Ryan reveals that he’s landed a DJ gig in Val d'Isère. Daisy is quick to suggest she could go and share his hotel bed. Craig finds Paul in the Rovers, clearly drunk, and questions him about the stolen heat pump. Eric is satisfied with the viewing of his mother. George tears a strip off Eileen for her son's behaviour and she angrily dumps him. Billy and Todd watch as Craig puts an angry Paul into a police car.
