Plot[]
Part One: Met with a stunned silence from Billy, Todd loses his nerve and rushes away, telling his partner to forget he ever asked. Carla thinks Izzy is too busy with her new boyfriend to do a proper job. Tyrone takes the girls out of school to tell them they're getting a little brother or sister. Hope is excited while Ruby isn't bothered. Summer searches for Todd and tells Paul about the proposal. Paul infers that Billy turned Todd down. Daisy and Ryan concoct a business plan for a mobile pub and DJ and pitch the idea to Jenny for the Rovers. Deciding that Izzy needs a firmer hand, Carla calls her and asks why her work is substandard. Izzy says she needed more time to work on the samples but doesn't say why. Izzy tells her mystery man, Fergus Dunford, that she doesn't want Carla to know she's been ill as she'll think she can't do her job. Todd hides out at the funeral parlour, unable to face Billy. Sam drops off a get well soon card for Gail and is gutted to hear that she's leaving. Paul is astonished when Billy tells him he hasn't said no to Todd.
Part Two: Billy counters that Todd is a changed man. Paul warns him not to expect him to be around to pick up the pieces. Carla wants Izzy back at Underworld as she's been vaccinated. Ryan doesn't go for the bistro job. Alya isn't convinced the mobile pub is a money-spinner. Sam blames Nick for making Gail leave. Natasha is annoyed that Nick has upset Sam yet again. Sarah calls Izzy and broaches the subject of her coming back into the factory. She agrees to think about it. Todd plucks up the courage to face Billy. Billy asks if Paul is right and he'd be mad to accept the proposal. Todd promises never to hurt him or Summer again. Billy goes down on one knee. Carla demands that Sarah give up the softly softly approach and tell Izzy that either she returns to the factory or she's sacked. Summer is delighted that Billy and Todd are engaged. As they celebrate, Summer passes Todd a letter she found in the hall. Todd opens it to read: "Don't get comfortable. Your lies will come out."

Notes[]
- The episode was made available to stream on the ITV Hub on Monday 5th July, ahead of its ITV transmission following a decision taken by ITV to release all episodes of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale at the start of each week for the duration of the Euro 2020 football tournament, a time when the soaps were frequently displaced from their usual timeslots, so that viewers could watch at their convenience.
- Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this episode was made with social distancing rules being observed by both cast and production crew, even when they were playing family members or people who shared residences.
- As Cherylee Houston was shielding when this episode was recorded, scenes set inside 28 Grayling Street were recorded inside the actress's real-life home, with Houston's husband, Toby Hadoke, portraying Izzy's neighbour Fergus Dunford. Filming equipment was sent by the Coronation Street team for Houston and Hadoke to record the scenes themselves [1].
- TV Times synopsis: Carla tells Sarah that the situation with Izzy is untenable.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 5,042,000 viewers (9th place).
