Plot[]
Part One: Amy sees Corey being led away and Asha almost in tears. Back home, Abi breaks down, unable to understand Nina’s memory block. Forensic officers go over Corey and Kelly’s flats. With Imran sat in on the interview, a terrified Kelly can only cry as she is questioned. Furious at what she was involved in, Billy insists that Summer goes to the station with him to give her evidence. Asha insists to Amy that Corey is innocent. Stefan Brent arrives at the station to be with his son, advising him to keep his mouth shut. Alison Wray tells Abi that two suspects have been arrested but won’t reveal more details. She leaves an envelope with her. Fiz sneers at Tyrone when she sees him with flowers and feels bad when he tells her they’re for Seb. Asha visits Nina, begging for a chance to talk. Having heard about Corey’s arrest, Nina refuses to listen to her apologies for lying to her, or her assurances that she will be the best friend possible to her from hereon in. She’s aghast when Asha insists that Corey is still innocent and tells her she will never forgive her.
Part Two: Corey tells DS Swain that although he was at the Aquaside Industrial Park, and he did see Nina and Seb, it wasn’t him involved in the attack. His father looks dubious about his answers. Abi won’t open the envelope, knowing it’s the speech that Seb wrote for their wedding day. Asha asks Dev if she can come home, upset that no one believes in Corey’s innocence. Toyah offloads on Jenny about how upset she is about Kelly. Listening in, Sharon takes the opportunity to suggest she contacts Leanne for comfort, but Toyah refuses. Abi finally opens the envelope and reads the speech in tears. Kevin assures her he was a lad happy with his life at the time he died. Emma and Alina have set up a shrine to Seb in Victoria Gardens. Seeing it, Fiz softens and invites Tyrone home to see the girls. Corey is released to live at home with his parents and is escorted back to the flat to collect his things. Dev and Asha are there to do the same thing. In front of the officer, Dev tells the lad he will break every bone in his body if he ever approaches his daughter again. Kelly is also released under investigation. Imran warns Toyah that things are only just beginning. Abi is grateful for Seb’s shrine but sees Corey outside the flat with the officer and screams abuse at him, thinking he’s free while her son is dead.
