Plot[]
Part One: In hospital, a recovering Peter insists he has no idea what happened, but he hadn't been drinking. Carla doesn't believe a word, citing what Steve says he saw. Kevin and Abi start to plan where to hold their wedding. Rhydian Chivers arrives in Weatherfield to see Sean. Todd's impressed with his flash car that Rhydian claims he bought last year, but Abi spots that it's from a car leasing company that the garage services. Seb finds Alina in tears, having received a phone call from Romania to say that her beloved dog Romulus has died. He's unsympathetic. Lucas arrives asking after Peter, but Carla's taken aback when he suddenly asks her to return to Devon with him. Todd asks Abi to check with the leasing company about Rhydian's car, but she refuses. Rhydian tells a flattered Sean about other Double Glammy employees who have made it big working for the company and insists he's capable of the same success. When Tyrone sees that Alina is upset, he takes her for a coffee. Abi tells Todd that the car is on a three-day lease. In the cafe, Tyrone tells Alina about Monica. Sarah objects to Alina taking time off work due to the death of a pet and Tyrone sticks up for her. Alina's grateful.
Part Two: Carla is displeased with Lucas's timing but having overheard the conversation, Steve tells her to take the opportunity and get herself away from an incurable drunk. Abi is taken aback by the high costs of a wedding venue they've seen. Debbie offers them the Chariot Square Hotel for free as her wedding present, but Abi refuses the offer. Todd tells Eileen that Rhydian is a charlatan and gets her to agree to speak to Sean. Ken and Carla are resigned to Peter ending his life early through drink. Asha finds Corey in the cafe. He's aghast to find that she and Nina are an item. Kevin tries to persuade Abi to take up Debbie's offer, but she doesn't trust her. Wanting an easy life, he begs her to change her mind. Awaiting the blood test results, Carla tells Peter she doesn't want to spend the rest of her life trying to prop him up as he continues to drink. He denies doing so again. Unable to take any more, she tells him she's bailing on him.
