Plot[]
Part One: David frantically tries to connect his mobile hotspot to the laptop. Steve has to persuade a reluctant Amy to do the same. She only agrees provided she has first choice on the bedrooms. David starts bidding at £99,000. A gleeful Tracy also enters the bid and the two start frantically upping their offers, with Steve trying to keep her low. Debbie reminds Abi that she saved her life and did what she had to do to protect herself. Abi's chastened. The Rovers' Wi-Fi is also down as Jenny expects a call from Johnny. Gary rings Maria with the news of Joe's death. Steve gets nervous as the bids increase and Tracy won't give up. David gives up at £136,000. Steve is livid that Tracy has gone over their budget and forbids her to go any further after she goes up by another thousand. When the bidding suddenly jumps to £138,000, Steve switches off the hotspot. A sulking Tracy gives up.
Part Two: Jenny's worried sick, aware that Joe's overdose will bring back dark thoughts of Aidan. Gary tells Johnny that the overdose was an accident and not deliberate, but Johnny hallucinates that he can see a bloke in a suit and doesn't pay attention to his words. Tracy and David are equally surprised to find that the final bid was placed by an unknown third party. Simon goes out on another job. Leanne is depressed that she found going out so difficult. Jenny's livid to overhear Daisy slagging off Johnny. Nick spots a light on in No.8 and David and Shona go to investigate. Lying about her motives, Daisy apologises. Jenny's forgiving and Daisy's relieved to have won her round. David and Shona are shocked when Gail answers the door. She has returned from London with money from Ted's estate which she has used to buy No.8. David is unreasonably angry that she gazumped him, when she didn't know that Audrey had lent him the money. Annoyed at his behaviour, she tells him that he can't move back into what is now her house. Ray can't stand being in Debbie's flat any more and threatens her. Miles tells her that the passport for Turkey will be ready tomorrow but she tells him that her plan now is for Ray to be sent to prison.
