Plot[]

Part One: Abi is released from hospital and Kevin goes to collect her. The police cannot find any sign of Ray. Michael engineers a lunch between Aggie and Grace, oblivious to James's warnings that things will kick off between them. Aggie confides in Ed that she's worried Michael is going to propose to Grace again. Steve postpones returning from his walking holiday, with Tracy's grudging approval. Ken worries as Peter goes out again and determines to do something about it. Debbie swears blind to a dubious Sally and Yasmeen that she didn't know anything about the bribery, the assault on Faye, nor Ray's present whereabouts. Abi returns, fired up to continue her fight over the development. Starting with the Rovers, Ken sets about circulating a photo of Peter to all local pubs and shops explaining that he's ill and requesting they don't serve him. Roy calls at No.13 to report that the chairperson has been arrested on suspicion of bribery, and an emergency meeting of the planning committee has been called to reconsider the planning approval. While Kevin wants her to rest, Abi sets out to retrace her steps and see if it triggers any memories about what happened to her. Gail retrieves a box of family photos from the factory that she left there when they were moving. A loose photo flutters to the floor. She is bemused to see a picture of an unknown lady called Fanny. Calling into the bistro, Abi has a flashback and realises Debbie was with Ray.

Part Two: Debbie admits she was the one who rang the ambulance and begs Abi not to call the police, saying there's more to the matter than she realises. Aggie can't help being cold to Grace when she arrives. Pushed by Abi, Debbie tells her she hates the street after the difficult start it gave her being a teenage housewife when she wanted to get on with succeeding in life, and wants to see it crumble to dust. With Michael late for the lunch, Aggie seizes the opportunity and gives Grace both barrels, telling her that her son is better off without her. Grace leaves the house in anger. Abi spots an envelope stuffed with cash on a bistro table and determines to inform the police as more bribery is afoot. Debbie begs her not to. Michael arrives home and is devastated to discover that Aggie gave Grace her marching orders. Michael races after Grace but when a police officer stops him to question him about a robbery that's just occurred in the area, Grace disappears inside Costa Coffee. Ken despairs when Peter arrives home, clearly drunk. To prevent Abi going to the police, Debbie claims she assaulted Ray to protect her.
