Plot[]
Part One: Leanne oversleeps and misses calls from Nick and Simon. Jenny is desperate to have Johnny declared unfit to appear in court as his vision problems persist. Michael ignores Aggie's recommendation, preferring to keep Grace on side. Ed approves of his son's decision. Simon puts on his best shirt for his date with Kelly but goes to fetch another one from the flat when Shona remarks that he looks like a waiter. Dev advises David and Abi to give up as they'll only get into trouble by making unfounded allegations against Ray. Abi becomes ever more certain that Ray bribed a member of the planning committee when Dev lets slip about the sweetener Ray offered to the planning officer. Simon lets himself into the flat and sees Leanne passed out on the sofa with pills strewn over the table.
Part Two: Panicking that his mum has tried to do away with herself, Simon calls an ambulance. Johnny is examined by an MS nurse, who refers him to a neurologist for a possible relapse. Jenny's distraught as it's not enough to stop him from attending court. Johnny doesn't mind as he wants it over and done with. The twins receive their mock GCSE results. Aadi does well with five 7s, two 6s and an 8 in Biology, but Asha only gets 2s, 1s and a U. Aadi's surprised as Asha hadn't mentioned that she was struggling. He blames Corey. As they set off for court, Jenny tells Johnny that whatever happens, she loves him and is proud to be his wife. Privately, she prays for her husband to remain a free man. Michael tells Grace he wants them to co-parent their child. Grace doesn't think it'll work with Aggie opposing them. David and Shona check out the house Ray is offering them, on her old estate. Shona refuses to set foot there again. Leanne is surprised to wake up in hospital. She tells Simon she only took two pills in order to sleep, and had no intention of killing herself. As Simon asks why she isn't in France, Leanne admits that she never went.
