Plot[]
Part One: Yasmeen nervously prepares for the first day of her trial in her cell while Geoff is very chirpy and buoyant in their house. Debbie tries to plant a seed of doubt in Kevin's mind about Abi possibly using drugs again. Sally and Abi trace Ray's company behind the development and realise that it also owns the development in Hale Barns. Faye is forced to admit that Ray was the one who passed on the house offer details. Leanne calls at No.1 and goes over the funeral arrangements with Tracy. She's thrown to see that Oliver's memory box has arrived. Tracy admits that Steve is still in bed but assures Leanne he would never miss his son's funeral. Tim taunts Geoff that Elaine's testimony will bring him down. Abi tells David how he's been conned by Ray before calling on all the other neighbours to drum up their support. Imran prepares Yasmeen before they go to court.
Part Two: Debbie warns Ray that Abi is on the warpath and suggests changing the impending press launch. Craig confesses to Faye that he knew about Ray's plans but was sworn to secrecy otherwise Ray would have sacked her. Unable to look Craig in the eye, Faye tells him it's best if they call it quits. Craig's devastated. In a near-empty courtroom, the barristers deliver their opening statements. The neighbours gather for a meeting in Victoria Gardens where they realise that neither the salon flat nor No.12 and The Kabin have yet been sold. Debbie rings Abi and tells her the press launch is at the Chariot Square Hotel. They set off to gatecrash it. Nick presents Leanne with the memory box, revealing he was the one who ordered it. She's touched. Simon confides in Shona how he's dreading giving a reading at Oliver's funeral. Shona assures him that he'll be fine and just to speak from the heart. Geoff takes the witness box and paints Yasmeen as a violent alcoholic. She listens, outraged by his lies. Arriving at the empty hotel, Abi forces Faye to tell her where the press launch has been moved to. Tim visits Elaine in the psychiatric ward. She's delighted to see him. She tells him that she had a sudden mental breakdown when she was on the way to visit him and ended up in the hospital. She cries with relief as he tells her that he believes her story, but she refuses to give evidence at the trial, saying she's not strong enough to face Geoff. The residents ambush the launch outside the bistro and Ray is aghast as Roy makes a speech condemning him to rounds of applause. To overcome their objections, he offers an extra £50,000 to each seller.
