Plot[]
Part One: A stand-off emerges between Leanne and Imran. Imran appears to call Elliot and ask him to call round in order to appease her. Johnny tries to make Margaret believe that he's a changed man, explaining that he sought Grant out to apologise for his actions, not realising that he'd died. Margaret calls him a murderer. Jenny firmly backs Johnny and goes after Margaret when she leaves in disgust. Geoff tells Alya he's selling the house and moving to Cyprus. Jenny tells Margaret that she doesn't have to punish Johnny as he already hates himself. She tells her about Tom Midgeley to show that she understands what she's gone through. Margaret says it's not the same; her son died because of someone else and she can never forgive him. Leanne discovers Imran lied when Toyah and Nick arrive at the solicitors office instead of Elliot. Toyah begs Leanne to stand down and go to her son. Leanne backs down. Debbie berates Ray for showing his hand too soon. Peter asks Carla where she disappeared to. She says she met Maria for lunch. Leanne returns to the hospital where Oliver has suddenly arrested.
Part Two: The doctors are able to stabilise Oliver but Dr Howarth warns Steve and Leanne that it's likely to happen again. Leanne starts to waver when Steve asks her to let Oliver die in their arms, not surrounded by doctors. Johnny expects Margaret to shop him to the police and tells Carla he'd rather Jenny gave up on him and got on with her life than waited for him to serve his time. Kevin and Abi see Ray and Geoff speaking in the street and wonder why. Leanne tells Toyah she liked being in control and keeping Oliver safe. Toyah says it's time to take back control. Alya's suspicious when Geoff sets off for a magic show carrying two full shopping bags. Ryan tells her that Geoff goes to Oldham a lot, according to the van's satnav. Leanne tells Steve she's dropping her appeal.
