Plot[]
Part One: Having failed to find a solicitor willing to front her appeal, Leanne decides to represent herself. Steve fails to talk her out of it. He tells her that he's worried about her mental health. Dr Howarth is concerned about Oliver's liver function and orders further tests. Abi wants something special for a date night with Kevin but he's at a loss as to what to do. He asks Debbie why she's being so secretive about her business matters. Peter asks Carla to be normal around him rather than being especially nice. Johnny's MS starts playing up because of the stress he's under. Leanne buries herself in books and bewails that no one will help her. Ray and Debbie set their sights on No.6. Margaret Newsome shows up at the Rovers to tell Johnny that the police have a lead on the hit-and-run driver's accomplice.
Part Two: Desperate to alleviate his guilt, Johnny confesses that he's the man they're looking for. However, he's immediately accused of beating her son and leaving him for dead. Johnny truthfully denies the charge, saying he got scared and ran off as soon as he hit Grant with the car and Scott must be responsible. Margaret doesn't believe him as he's already revealed himself to be a liar. Jenny's also sceptical of her husband's innocence at first. Geoff moans to Ray that he has to take his girlfriend to the Chariot Square Hotel instead of No.6 as there are too many prying eyes in the street. Ray offers him the presidential suite for free if he sells him his house. Peter smells a rat when Carla isn't at the factory despite claiming to be snowed under with work. Leanne can't get her head around the legal jargon and asks Imran to talk her through it, as a friend. Imran refuses to help her. Ray admits he has a vested interest in No.6 and offers to pay Geoff over the odds for the house. Geoff refuses as Yasmeen would get half of the proceeds. Ray secures the house for a knockdown price with an additional £40,000 going directly to Geoff as a sweetener so Yasmeen can't touch it. Leanne locks the office door and demands that Imran call Elliot.
