Plot[]
Part One: Bloodied and sore, Peter lies on the floor, the thug having stolen his taxi and mobile phone. Craig tries to assure a disbelieving Ray that he saw nothing. In a bid to buy his silence, Ray offers him and Faye an expensive free meal at the bistro. Carla apologises to Adam for taking her temper out on him. She tells him about the strains in the relationship she has with his uncle. Barry Noakes, a passer-by, calls the police and offers Peter his hip flask full of whisky. Peter desperately tries to refuse it, but fails to fight his demons and swigs from the hip flask. Craig turns down the free meal, much to Beth's annoyance, as he's not happy about taking freebies from Ray. Beth thinks she and Kirk can take advantage instead. Adam counsels Carla to talk things through with Peter. He admits that he's not really into Alina. Craig calls at the furniture shop supposedly as part of his security initiative and unsuccessfully quizzes Gary about the new building project. Steve and Leanne manage to have a calm conversation about him not supporting the appeal, but he refuses to give her any reassurances about not standing in her way. With the police on the way, Peter has downed all of Barry's whisky.
Part Two: Joseph sports one of Todd's old tracksuits. Todd invites Gemma, Fiz and Tyrone to Sean's make-up party at Speed Daal with the offer of free booze. Carla worries when she can't get Peter to answer his phone. Leanne is tearful when Steve tells her that he's going to see his own solicitor to fight for Oliver's interests. She realises she's now on her own. Alina joins the make-up party where Tyrone is teased into trying some of the products. Fiz overpaints his face for fun. Having been driven home by the police, Peter makes his way to the Co-op and buys alcohol. Kirk and Beth enjoy the free meal. Gemma and Tyrone purchase some products and Sean's pleased to have made his first sale. Todd's cynical and likens it to pyramid selling, convinced it'll end in tears. After a tip-off from Gary, Ray tells Craig that he'll put in a good word about him with the Chief Inspector if he keeps quiet about his building plans. Carla's horrified about the attack when she sees Peter's state and tells him how much she loves him. In the back yard, he takes a swig of the alcohol but quickly spits it out.
