Plot[]
Part One: Eileen calls an end to the farce when Mick asks how Todd died and none of the mourners can answer. Ray insists he's merely pursuing a good business opportunity and warns Gary that the deal won't be on the table for long. Eileen offers Mick the money Todd owes him but Mick just says he'll be in touch. Nina asks Evelyn why she's putting up barriers when she likes Arthur. Audrey's party is cancelled before the lady in question can even make an appearance. Scott tells Johnny that they'll strike during a soiree Ray is holding for his investors. He's to be the getaway driver; he'll be in and out before Ray knows what's hit him. Gary asks his mates in the building trade if there are any big projects coming up in the area, attempting to find out what Ray has planned. Sarah, Nina and Carla celebrate when they land their first big department store order. Mick returns and forces Eileen to let him inside No.11. Having come in through the back door, Todd hides upstairs.
Part Two: Evelyn makes up with Arthur and promises not to hold back in future. She surprises him by suggesting they leave the mattress at home next time. As Eileen pays Mick off, she's shocked to learn that he and Todd were once lovers. Ray increases his offer for the factory to £400,000 but Gary still refuses to sell. David goes easy on Shona for ruining the party. Mick realises Todd's in the house when he hears the landing creak. Unleashing a handgun, he threatens to shoot Eileen unless he comes downstairs. Arthur makes a secret visit to Weatherfield General. Mick holds the Grimshaws at gunpoint, making it clear that he intends to kill Todd as payback for robbing him. Gary hears the gangster ranting and raving as he's walking past the house. Mick leads Todd through the back door to kill him. A moment later, Eileen hears some commotion and rushes outside to find Mick on the ground and Gary standing above him with a baseball bat.
