Plot[]
Part One: Nick enjoys a video call with Sam which is interrupted when Gail calls at the flat and is excited to introduce herself to her grandson for the first time. She points out to Nick that he can't keep his secret from Leanne forever. Tracy confides in Emma that she isn't prepared to sell the florists and Steve isn't talking to her, unable to see that they can't change anything about Oliver's condition. Tim and Sally look forward to a perfect wedding day, though they are both nervous as to what Geoff will do that could ruin it. Leanne has a heart-to-heart with Dr Howarth, begging her as a mother herself to do more for her own son. Faye reveals that she's got a new boyfriend who she met online. Craig masks his disappointment. Tim, Abi and Faye are dressed and ready for the ceremony. Geoff asks to be included but is rebuffed again by his son. Tim voices his fears to Abi that he will turn up anyway. Preparing to make a radio appeal for Todd's whereabouts, Eileen expresses doubts that they're doing the right thing and fears that she'll never see her son again. Unable to attend the reception, Gail reads a poem about friendship she has written to Sally. Steve continues to cold-shoulder Tracy. As Sally continues to fret about Geoff, Abi uses a ruse to use Faye's mobile to send a text message. Nick and Leanne attend a meeting with Imran to be introduced to their new barrister, Elliot Newell. Leanne gets annoyed with Nick for being more interested in his phone messages and his seeming impatience to leave.
Part Two: Leanne insists that Nick turns his phone off. Just before setting off for the register office, Abi feigns a severe headache and cries off attending. The others go without her. George calls on Mary and meets Eileen. Leanne returns to the hospital, full of enthusiasm after the meeting with Elliot but still sharply-spoken with Nick. An intruder enters the back door of No.11 and takes some cash, almost being caught by Sean in the act. Dressed in his best suit, Geoff comes into No.4, claiming Faye has texted him to say that Tim has changed his mind. Abi lures him into the conservatory and locks him inside it. Having heard the radio broadcast, Emma praises Eileen for her performance. Leanne accuses Nick of being more interested in his phone than Oliver's welfare. As a row breaks out and, realising he has no choice, Nick reveals that the person he's been texting is his son.
