Plot[]
Part One: When Peter doesn't reciprocate Abi's feelings, she realises she's made a stupid mistake and flees the Rovers' yard. Hearing of Nick's offer, Steve decides to do the same with Street Cars and to persuade Tracy to sell the florists. Leanne is dubious that she will agree. Having seen Daniel bidding farewell to a smitten Nicky outside the tram station, Kirk approaches and reveals Beth is inconsolable with worry about Bertie. Daniel promises Kirk he has no intention of replacing Sinead with a sex worker. Nicky walks back out of the station at that moment and overhears him. Abi is dumbstruck when Kevin suggests they should draw a line under the past and start again, saying he loves her. Tyrone comes round to square matters. He admits Hope is hardly innocent in the matter and happily joins Kevin and Abi for a takeaway. George calls in the florists and orders a bouquet for Mary to prove he's truly sorry for upsetting her. Mary melts. Five hours into the sponsored silence, Emma's lack of speech puzzles the customers. Tracy is worried when Steve breaks the news of the business sales but doesn't refuse outright immediately. Peter texts Abi to meet him in the ginnel. Debbie watches with suspicion as she makes an excuse to keep the assignation. A hurt Nicky returns to the flat and demands £200 from Daniel for services rendered. Abi tells a relieved Peter that her words were a mistake and he replies that it's better if they don't meet again. Debbie comes out and sees Peter walking away.
Part Two: A puzzled Daniel hands a furious Nicky the money and hears why her attitude towards him has suddenly changed. Emma momentarily breaks her silence to counsel Tracy about helping Oliver, pointing out that she knows herself that it's the right thing to do. Tracy stands up for Emma when Jenny suggests she stops the silence for the good of the Rovers' trade. Debbie wrings a confession out of Abi as to what happened with Peter but is persuaded not to say anything. Billy tells Mary that he's hired a private detective to hunt for Todd. Daniel tells Nicky he said what he did as he and Bertie need Beth on their side, but he is no way ashamed of her. When she tests him by asking him to tell Ken about her trade, and he hesitates to agree, she calls him a hypocrite and leaves. Carla's ears prick up when Jenny lets slip that Peter's been calming Abi. Peter reveals he's told Abi he won't help her any more. Carla hopes she got the message. Debbie warns Abi that she's got her eye on her.
