Plot[]
Part One: Nick goes through Natasha's social media accounts and sees a photo of Sam, the boy who may be his son. He keeps the news from Sarah when she asks him how Oliver is. Mary joins Billy as he passes his theory about Kel onto the police. Leanne tells Steve that Toyah has her fostering assessment with her blessing. Imran has to calm Toyah's nerves. Ray offers to get David a good deal with a builder. After a comfortable night, Oliver is stable enough for Dr Howarth to reduce his sedation. Leanne is optimistic, Steve less so. Nick asks for a meeting with Natasha. Natasha kills the call when he says he knows she was pregnant with his son when she left him.
Part Two: David's insurer won't pay out as there's no structural damage to the house. The police don't confirm that the canal body is Kel but Billy infers it from the heavy questioning he's put through. Paul hears him and Mary discussing the subject, forcing Billy to come clean. David considers suing the developer who built the house but Colin, Ray's spy, advises him that the man in question, Maurice Jones, is long dead. Paul says it makes no difference that Kel is dead; he carries him about in his head and by pursuing the matter, Billy has brought everything back to the surface. Karen Glen questions Toyah about Susie, concerned that she would become too attached to the children she fosters. Toyah says that she's come to terms with not having her own child and is no longer defined by it. Natasha shows up at Nick's flat to put him straight about Sam. Her claim that the father is her current partner Andy is refuted by Nick, who knows from her social media that she's single. Natasha admits that Nick is Sam's biological father and offers him the chance to be his dad. Nick tells her about Oliver and that now is not the right time for him to get to know Sam. Natasha refuses to be left in limbo; it's either a full commitment, or no contact at all.
