Plot[]

Part One: Unable to explain the discrepancy, Geoff admits that he did see Elaine, but only to tell her to stay away from his family and peddle her lies elsewhere. His flimsy explanation for lying to the police - not wanting to give Elaine the satisfaction - even has Tim doubting him. He then dismisses Elaine as a woman doing the bidding of Yasmeen and Alya. Yasmeen needs a bypass following her heart attack. Leanne is wracked with guilt for making out that Oliver is doing well but refuses to mark her son out as different. Alya blocks Geoff from entering Speed Daal when he threatens her for going to the police. Unsure where he stands with Tim, Geoff is pleased when his son shows up and defends him. Alya is more convinced than ever that Geoff is behind Elaine's disappearance. Carla thinks Gary must be clueless with money. Peter fills Adam in on the rent situation. Gary is left without a best man when an old army mate pulls out. Maria demands an explanation for his U-turn over the factory's rent, suspecting that he's still in love with Sarah.

Part Two: Gary convinces her it was an altruistic decision, supporting the business's efforts for the NHS. Peter tries to get Carla to play Daydream Believer on the recorder to prove her claim that she can play the instrument. Tim wants to believe Geoff, but struggles to accept that a total stranger like Elaine would make up stories about him. Leanne urges Toyah to set the fostering wheels in motion as she deserves some happiness. Geoff uses Tim's memories of Tessa to persuade his son that Elaine is an imposter. Adam gives Sarah an opportunity to tell him about Gary's change of heart but she fails to mention it. Tim rips up Elaine's phone number and tosses it in the bin, telling Sally that he's had enough of her suspicions.
