Plot[]
Part One: Amy is in a panic about her upcoming RE GCSE exam and takes her mood out on Steve and Tracy as she desperately tries to revise. Fiz catches a sight of Evelyn's diary and realises that her time out with Arthur means she has a better social life than her and Tyrone. She worries that parenthood has made them staid. Shona is reacquainted with Gemma who tells her that they were both brought up on the same rough estate. She joins her and Aaron for a coffee at the cafe. Emma tells Seb she's put his flowers in the salon as she didn't like looking at them. Alina agrees to meet him for a drink in the Rovers later, but just as mates. Oliver shows signs of having an appetite. Leanne is delighted he's shown signs of improvement over two consecutive days. Toyah agrees to join Nina and Evelyn on another environmental protest, this time lobbying the local MP. Gemma tells Shona that people matter more than places and how much David meant to her. Steve promises Amy a trip away to a beach once her exams are over. Imran isn't happy that Toyah is joining the protest when they have a fostering meeting at 3.00pm. Amy tells Leanne that Steve is putting a deposit down for an apartment in Cornwall for them all to use once the exams are over. Leanne isn't pleased. Shona summons David to the cafe flat for a "date".
Part Two: Shona tries to find out what they used to enjoy doing together and begins with doing a jigsaw. Emma gets her hand stuck in a vase jar. Steve and Leanne turn up for a meeting at the hospital. Leanne is in a mood about the Cornwall plan. Shona starts to strip off, wanting to try sex with David. She throws him out of the flat when he refuses. Fiz regrets that she and Tyrone never had a time dating before they moved in together with their girls. Evelyn, Toyah and Nina return from the protest without having been arrested. Roy advises Shona that people are complex and illogical, and she should slow down the rediscovery of her relationship with David. Awaiting the imminent arrival of Karen, the fostering agent, Imran and Toyah agree that Ryan and Alya will have to move out of the flat to give them room for the child. The nurse at the hospital tells Leanne that critically ill children are often taken on beach holidays, making her relent on the idea. An ominous Dr Ward asks to see Steve and Leanne without Oliver as she has his genetic test results and they need to talk about them in private.
