Plot[]
Part One: Daniel still has Nicky on his mind. Roy's Rolls puts on wartime dishes to mark the 75th anniversary of VE-Day. David is on pins in the cafe as Shona is moving in that day, even though he's not supposed to be there when she arrives. Emma, Alina and Seb all feel uncomfortable living together in the salon flat. Seb plans to find somewhere else to live. Shona arrives with Aaron Faraday, her good-looking support worker. Roy asks a hurt David to leave them alone now, but to come round later while she gets settled in. Rita and Scott help Carla decorate the Rovers for VE-Day. Carla is nervous that Jordan and Chelsey will come back. Leanne reacts defensively to a suggestion from Steve and Tracy that they take Oliver to a city farm. Tracy stands her ground and gets her agreement for the day out, so long as they take precautions in order that the child doesn't catch an infection. Aaron tells Roy that routine is important in Shona's recovery. David bursts in with magazines, unwilling to stay away. Daniel rings Nicky.
Part Two: Carla calls at the garage with a bottle as a thank-you present for Abi for her help with Jordan and Chelsey. Abi tells her that she has things in her past she'd rather forget and she is there for her if she ever wants to talk about it. As she leaves, Carla spots a headline in the Gazette about a couple found beaten up in a squat on the Brightwell Estate. A worried Leanne gives a list of instructions to Steve and Tracy before they take Oliver out. They point out that she could join them too on a family day out and she happily agrees. The corner shop also marks VE-Day. Daniel buys premium lager from a concerned Evelyn in the middle of the afternoon. David hears how Shona's tastes and skills have changed. She can't even remember Max and Lily's names. She shows an interest in Aaron, much to David's disquiet. Seb brings flowers for Emma as an apology for not being considerate. Alina wonders if they're getting back together. He's about to tell her it's her that he loves when Emma comes in. Roy counsels David to be patient with Shona's recovery. Evelyn tells Adam about the lagers that Daniel bought, saying he started drinking it straight away. Fortified with booze, Daniel turns up at Nicky's hotel room. Shona rushes a startled Aaron for a kiss, just as David walks into the flat.

Rita Tanner: "Mmm."
Carla Connor: "Can you remember it?"
