Plot

Tim is on edge with Yasmeen's plea hearing set for 3.00pm today. A delighted Amy congratulates Asha for taking Corey down. In her cell, Yasmeen is depressed. Imran, Alya and Ryan are concerned that she doesn't seem to care enough to fight for her freedom any more. Gary puts Lenny Isaacs on to finding Laura Neelan. Asha tells Nina that her morning at school was better than yesterday's. Corey sends her texts, trying to keep in touch with her. Sally feels uncomfortable when Cathy and Eileen, making plans to attend their friend's hearing, refuse to sit with her in the cafe. Alya visits her gran in prison and tells her about Geoff's written statement to the police about using escorts. She tries to make her see how he controlled her, shocked at how little food she found in No.6's kitchen after she gained access. She tells her that seeing her previously strong-willed gran being reduced to a shell broke her. Adam and Imran see Gary being pally with Kelly, Amy and Summer. Yasmeen tries to speak up for Geoff, saying he understood her and how she's turned everyone in her life away from her by her imperious and demanding manner. She talks about him killing and making her eat Charlotte Brontë, even though she still takes some of the blame on her own shoulders for the incident. Tim plans to attend the hearing, upsetting Geoff when he asks his dad if anything else will come out that he doesn't want him to know about. Lenny traces Laura to Rochdale. Adam offers the girls a lift back to school. When he lies to Kelly that he and Rick are old friends, he's intrigued when Summer mentions that the only person her absent father speaks to nowadays is Gary. Alya's tearful when Yasmeen tells her about Geoff's control over her, and the daily cleaning routine he made her adhere to. However she grows tired of the excuses that Yasmeen makes for her husband, asking her if she would view him in the same way if he had done the same things to Tim when he was growing up, or instead, would she have labelled him a bully and an abuser? Dev is short with Carla when she mentions the expense of Oakhill. The hearing begins. The court clerk reads out the charge as Yasmeen recalls the insults Geoff levelled her way. She is in a daze as she is asked for her plea.
