Plot[]
Part One: Toyah's unenthusiastic about her upcoming job interview with an insurance company. Evelyn, Mary and Nina protest the council's refusal to set a zero carbon target at the Town Hall. Tracy gives Emma a hard time for "killing" Eccles. Emma feels unwelcome at No.1 and moves back to the salon flat. Bernie arrives and hears about the bus incident from Chesney. Gemma leaves the house when they keep going on about it. Steve fails to pick Oliver up to take him to the dentist as he's busy comforting Emma. Leanne drops Oliver off at No.1 and tells Steve to sort out his priorities. Rita takes charge of Gemma at Victoria Gardens. Gemma tells her that she can't cope with the quads and is having dark thoughts about harming them. Ken collects his mail from No.1, including a £1,000 vet's bill as he forgot to renew his pet insurance. Leanne tells Imran that Toyah went to the protest instead of her interview and has been arrested along with everybody else. Charles Moore campaigns to be elected to the Residents' Chair for the 8th time. Norris decries the bespoke dictatorship at Stillwaters and encourages Ken to stand against him.
Part Two: Seb agrees to move out of the flat to make way for Emma, but only once his next rent is due. With help from Rita, Gemma opens up to Chesney about her mental health problems. She admits that she knew what she was doing when she left the quads on the bus and doesn't feel like herself any more. Chesney's supportive and takes Gemma to the medical centre. Emma wants Seb out of the flat right away and throws his clothes and games console out of the window. Steve sees the kerfuffle and heads over, leaving Oliver in Summer's care. The protesters are released with a caution after gaffer-taping themselves to the head of the environmental services committee. Imran and Roy pick them up. After a chat with Steve, Emma decides to tolerate Seb living at the flat as long as she doesn't have to see or speak to him. Ken is compelled to stand when Norris tells him how Charles made some disparaging remarks about Eccles. With Chesney by her side, Gemma tells Dr Gaddas what she's been going through. Steve arrives home to find Oliver slumped on the floor. Summer reports that he suddenly started fitting. Steve scoops up his son and races to the medical centre.

Notes[]
- This episode, transmitted at 7.30pm, was the only episode shown on this date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to a temporary cessation of the programme's production which began on 23rd March, and a scaling back on the transmission of previously recorded episodes from six to three a week which began from 30th March onwards.
- This episode was produced with the intention of it being transmitted as the first half of an hour-long episode on Friday 3rd April at 7.30pm.
- Due to time constraints before the MediaCity studios were locked down, the end credits for this episode were not remade but instead used that originally intended for both this and the next episode. This means that the following were credited but did not appear: Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard), Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Simon Barlow (Alex Bain), Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson), Charles Moore (Michael Elwyn), and Corey Brent (Maximus Evans).
- For the same reason, Susan Oudot is credited along with Chris Fewtrell for writing the episode even though Oudot only wrote the second half of the planned hour-long episode.
- TV Times synopsis: Steve regrets prioritising Emma's needs over Oliver's; Gemma returns home and finally admits to Chesney that she thinks she's a terrible mother.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast: 7,445,623 viewers (5th place).
