Enid Dunn has appeared on Coronation Street in five roles:
- Joan Lawson, the aunt of the deceased Dennis Stringer at the latter's funeral in January 2002.
- An Old Crone at an art exhibition held at Weatherfield Gallery in January 2006.
- An unnamed Woman in June 2011.
- Bingo player Maureen Rothwell in February 2014.
- The housekeeper who in April 2023, found the body of Rufus Donahue in his swimming pool.
She further appeared in the 2010 special drama The Road to Coronation Street as the immortal Agnes, the Granada Television tea lady who told Tony Warren that Florizel Street, the name of his new serial, sounded like a disinfectant.
In real life, Enid only turned to acting in the late 1990s after many years working as an haute couture seamstress. Her childhood ambition to tread the boards was fuelled by the success of her son - Street actor Antony Cotton - in his roles in theatre and television, and she decided on her change of career after celebrating her fiftieth birthday. She has also appeared in City Central, Merseybeat, several roles in Doctors and regular role in Cutting It and Phoenix Nights, the latter in the part of Joyce, one of the barmaids in Peter Kay's clubland comedy.
