Emma Edmondson (born 28th November 1984 in Rochdale) appeared on Coronation Street between March 2007 and October 2008 as Mel Morton who, with the rest of her family, moved into 6 Coronation Street upon their arrival in Weatherfield.
In 2002, she completed a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Shena Simon College, Manchester and made her screen debut in The Street. Her later credits include roles in The Bill, In with the Flynns, The Body Farm, The Syndicate, Shameless, Prey, In the Flesh and the 2009 TV movie Ingenious.
She also appeared in the music video for Deadmau5's 2008/2009 hit single "I Remember".
In 2012 she also played the played the part of Lucille Hewitt in 1968 Corrie by Jack Rosenthal - a live restaging of three episodes of the programme that had been broadcast in 1968.
