Elizabeth Ann O'Brien appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in September 2011 as the receptionist at an abortion clinic within Weatherfield General, attended by Tracy Barlow, prior to changing her mind about the procedure; and she returned to the programme as a nurse who attended to Carla Connor, having suffered a miscarriage in June 2014.

She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Her other credits included roles in The Prince and the Pauper, Dalziel and Pascoe, Emmerdale, and the 2006 short film entitled The Distances We Travel.

On stage, she appeared in productions including Macbeth, Top Girls, The Magistrate, Lady Windermere's Fan, The Rivals, The Portrait of Dorian Grey and The Riot Act.

She has since left the acting profession and practices as a fully qualified counsellor.
